Good lord, what a terrible question. "No matter what?" Including being invaded by Mongol hordes or brain-sucking, anal-probing aliens? There actually might be one or two per 100 million that would still say no, I suppose.

Do you have principles that you believe - if it came to a head - are worth fighting for and dying for (ie. using the military at risk of loss of soldiers lives)?

Interesting way of putting it. What you're asking is whether or not people have principles they believe other people should fight and die for. Which makes sense, I suppose, given that you're a known chickenhawk.

But asking other people to do your dirty work is easy. Would you ever put your life on the line for what you believe in?

In a world like ours...people do not seem to co-operate with words..Because first of all you can't even believe what's coming out of their mouths.

But anyways...yes if strong values and matters lay at hand...then I would be FIRST to declare war.

Only if there are foreign soldiers on our soil. Then I'd fight. Right along with the soldiers. I'd take my dad's old 30-30 out of storage, dust it off and fire away!

In some buttfu** country across the earth that is no direct threat to me? No. I would not go, nor would I want any of our soldiers to go. They are supposed to defend Canada, not go die in some economic war for someone else. (ie the US).

IMO the best thing that could happen is a revamp of the UN. The UN should have more power than any country on earth and if international laws are being violated then the UNs huge army should just march right in there.

It's so much easier to just sit back, read about the atrocities happening to people

Of course you probably don't think Canada should have gone to war during WW2 either.

Let the UN do the work.....but of course the UN wouldn't have any Canadian soldiers. Would they?

Of course the newly-revamped-effective-UN-of-the-futre would have soldiers from every country. Every single country on earth. No one country should have the burden of being the world's police officer. It should be representative of all countries including the ones the "we" don't like - N. Korea for example.
