... still waiting for that apology...

I can view you as I wish and if think you are a traitor to western ideologies especially in the Iraq war Canada is not even a participant in.

By bad mouthing the U.S. president and his defense secretary concerning a war like the Iraq conflict, you are appeasing Iraq ideologies.

Iraqi terrorist must love you.

I have reported this as inflammatory trolling.

I know Canada won't say anything, but I hope the U.S. takes concrete action against these moronic mad dog killer terrorist and their constant barrage of threats.

Anyone on this site who approves of these Islamic terrorists or their cause is a traitor to our western ideologies, culture and lifestyles and should be banned from posting on Maple Leaf Web.

http://www.canada.com/montrealgazette/news...ae0d&k=1018

Nobody supports terrorists.

What are you talking about.

Islamic radical ideologies are supported on this very site by people like Black dog, Liam, Jerry Hatrick, jdobbin and others.

Are you saying you don't read these guys post?

Just because a person does not agree with what Bush is doing in Iraq and with regard to homeland security in the face of "terrorist" attacks does not mean that they support or agree with what those who would "harm" America (they sure can spout words can't they!) are saying.

Black Dog is probably the most levelheaded poster here. He is certainly not a "supporter of radical Islamic ideologies". Actually I highly doubt if any poster here on MLW supports the actions of radicals, whatever their stripe.

As I've said before -- the fanatical rightwing does not tolerate dissent -- hence "They should be banned for their opinion!"

How can one ENJOY Kimmy today? Something sensual, spritual, physical, intellectual, tasty? Kimmy sounds like a kind of doughnut or granola. Can one enjoy Kimmy tomorrow also?

Well, hopefully one would find enjoyment in the joie de vivre (with just a touch of insouciance) that a Kimmy experience brings to their day. To some, Kimmy might provide the same sort of uplifting experience one might receive from a good novel. For others, a dash of Kimmy might be more akin to a soft drink or a handful of gummy bears. For some, even a smidgeon of Kimmy might cause a reaction comparable to horrible food allergies. Needless to say, no actual guarantee of enjoyment of Kimmy is expressed or implied, and individual results may vary.

Liam,

It's the black and white world of Neo-Conservatism that you have run up against. Relax, its a passing fad.

Disagree with the invasion of Iraq = you support Radical Islamic Terrorists.

Disagree with Harper and/or Bush = you hate your country.

Disagree with Afghanistan = you don't support the troops (and on Rememberance Day... you heartless thug!!)

Disagree with Conservative policy here = you are a troll and need to be banned.

Liam, why do you hate your country and freedom so much????

Actually the black-white views exist on the leftist side as well. I know that many conservatives will call you a Bin Laden supporter if you say you dont like Bush or something. But not all conservatives think this way, or respond this way. Also leftists tend to do the same thing. If you support Bush, you are a Bible-thumping, Fascist, republican bigot. The portrayal of those who disagree as either a left or right "extremist" is something that happens all the time.

There is nothing " perceived " about your slander of other members of this forum, Leafless. Is is a cold, hard fact. If you go back and re-read your own posts, maybe you'll even spot it. Or perhaps you need some lessons in that English language you so happily plug for.

You must be a FRENCH bilingual boaster not to be confused with poster, as virtually all competent English posters know we are corresponding with NOBODIES and no one really gives a damn about typos or spelling errors.

For all I know you could be operating out of an insane asylum or a penitentiary.

But I see anyone that is against the U.S and it's allies quest against terrorism as a traitor to western ideologies and their respective countries.

Western ideologies?

What exactly does that mean to you Leafless? Please explain so that we can understand where you are coming from?

My ideas of "western ideologies":

Freedom of speech (including "I hate Jews" or "I hate fags" -- can't have one without the other)

Freedom of religion (worship tin cans if that floats yer boat)

Freedom from religion (religious ideology does not belong anywhere but at home and in "religious houses" ie churches)

There of course, are many more freedoms that we simply take for granted, but these are the most important IMO.

I can understand perfectly well why some other countries view Canada as a 'BANANA REPUPLIC' outside of Muslim and other ethnic countries.

I have to say, I have definitely "enjoyed kimmy today"!

Leafless. How about this. I would like to hear about those Western Ideals you hold so dear to your heart. I would really like to know what the proper and/or correct Western Ideology we are fighting for? Please don't give me something generic like 'freedom' et al. What are those ideals you believe in? I have read this thread several times and don't really know or understand what it is you believe we are fighting for.

I bet they would be close to mine as well.

Without going into great detail, what we are fighting for is to maintain our successful Western English culture, advanced society and civilized standards most of us consider extremely important.

Our culture, advanced society and standards are closely related to to U.S. culture and standards and their successful even more advanced society contrary to what you might otherwise hear, especially from Liberal sources.

I find it hard to believe that anyone on this site would question what Western ideals are when the only two countries that really form these ideals are the U.S. and Canada.

You haven't travelled abroad much?

There are some exceptions in Europe (France) that give us some grief. But the UK has been a pretty considerable ally in this war we are fighting... and Ireland and Norway are two examples of countries far more advanced than us in an economic sense.

I hate to burst your bubble Leafless, but Canada is falling to second rate status. We are the lowest productivity growth nation in the West. Lowest small-business rate. That's weak. That's a very bleak future we have.

Without oil, we'd surely be a poor nation.

So yes, Western ideals are something that Canada has, but it's not exclusive to Canada and the US. And there are areas in Canada and the US that don't abide by Western ideals either. It's more of a regionalist issue... some regions of many nations are very 'Western.'

Your not busting my bubble.

Anyways, I'am not talking allies but rather a united dependency concerning our only adjacent country the U.S. and for all practical reasons we can conclude that we have been assimilated as a country by the U.S. and to our benefit.

We have always been dependent on the U.S. as a major trading partner, but your right times are changing and this is affecting all major countries.

But Canada is also taking advantage regarding the tremendous labour advantage of low manufacturing cost in other countries effectively reducing domestic manufacturing but still managing a healthy mark up on these imported items.

I think it's better for Canada to remain small, as our viability for expansion in most areas is limited due to our climate.

We have lots of water and that is going to be a very valuable asset in the near future as well as our regular line of natural resources increasing in $$$, as well as what you mentioned, oil.

I would rather see an increase in taxes or other method to maintain our social programs than to increase Canada's population only to temporally accomplish the same feat and then at later date only to face the financial shortfall we are currently experiencing and end up in an even more difficult financial position.

Then again if things really get rough we can employ other methods to keep the Canada viable but with a reduction in lifestyle.

Thats why the news media just can't stop talking about it and why you see press coverage at all of Harpers meetings with the various corporations that are going to own everything.
