Argus Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Now I have no idea how difficult this might be, but I really find myself missing the ability to properly mark and watch posts and threads as in so many other forums, and even on newsreader software like Outlook. As plain as possible: When I mark a thread in Outlook the title changes colours, and I can further ensure that marked threads are always at the top of the page. Further, when I read posts and exit a thread, the title of that thread fades. It darkens again only when there are new, unread posts in that thread. This makes it very easy, at a glance, to not only see which threads have new articles/posts, but which of the ones I am watching have new posts/articles. Is it possible to do something similar here? August1991 Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 I use "View New Posts" at the top right of the screen. I occasionally click on "Mark all threads as read" in the "Forum Options". Quote
Argus Posted November 5, 2006 Author Report Posted November 5, 2006 I use "View New Posts" at the top right of the screen.I occasionally click on "Mark all threads as read" in the "Forum Options". The thing is that I want to see the totality of what's there. I do use the view new posts thing but it really doesn't help an opinionated guy like me keep track of all the threads I have posted to. Argus Posted November 5, 2006 Author Report Posted November 5, 2006 My Assistant and My Last 10 posts usually works for me. It's awkward in that you have to keep going back to it repeatedly. The same goes for "new posts". Besides, I can do ten posts in half an hour. geoffrey Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 That would be a nice feature Argus... have threads you've posted in change colour. I like it. Quote RealRisk.ca - (Latest Post: Prosecutors have no "Skin in the Game") --
Forum Admin Greg Posted November 6, 2006 Forum Admin Report Posted November 6, 2006 I'll look into this, however, InvisionBoard isn't the most flexible forum around. Howeve, I've seen something similar to this funcationality by Vanilla Forum software, http://lussumo.com/community/ There are a number of forum software that I am looking to convert these forums too. I'll put that on my list of important things to have. Quote Have any issues, problems using the forum? Post a message in the Support and Questions section of the forums.

The same goes for "new posts". Besides, I can do ten posts in half an hour. So open multiple browser windows. This way you can stay there with one browser, and bounce around the forums with the others. Quote I need another coffee
