Black Dog Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Mass murder in the skies: was the plot feasible? We're told that the suspects were planning to use TATP, or triacetone triperoxide, a high explosive that supposedly can be made from common household chemicals unlikely to be caught by airport screeners. A little hair dye, drain cleaner, and paint thinner - all easily concealed in drinks bottles - and the forces of evil have effectively smuggled a deadly bomb onboard your plane.Or at least that's what we're hearing, and loudly, through the mainstream media and its legions of so-called "terrorism experts." But what do these experts know about chemistry? Quote

But what do these experts know about chemistry? And in your mind that's a good thing? Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).
GostHacked Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 How is it an "ancient" talking point, and why is a non-issue? I disagree with your premise. It's from months ago, and it's a non-issue because all the NYT said was that the government was monitoring financial transactions. We already knew that. Nonsense. I would hardly call a couple of months ago, "ancient". Of course we knew that financial transactions were being monitored. But we didn't know the details, until The New York Times decided to out a legal, covert program under the guise of news. Don't kill the messenger!!! That is what the news media outlets SHOULD be doing. They SHOULD be informing the populous of what they find. It is the Government's job to keep all that secret, not NY Times. I'd be doing the same thing. They have been following money trails ever since the PC was invented. So this is really nothing new at all. They were doing it in the 80s and 90s so what is soo different? Again, do not kill the messenger. Quote
Black Dog Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 And in your mind that's a good thing? What's a good thing? Either they are catching incompetent terrorists or they are bullshitting us to keep us afraid (perhaps even setting these cell sup just to nab them later). Neither seems like a good thing to me.
