saga4 Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 Well I have been banned again. What is it about good information supported by evidence that the moderator here doesn't like? I do not swear. I do not insult people like some of the stuff I have seen here. I have certainly found people interested in the information I have. I was never warned about anything ... just banned. I asked for an explanation and got none. What is the problem, Greg? If you won't answer my emails, answer it here. I think people deserve to know the parameters of the board. Are you not allowed to post any opinions or evidence that refute the government's position?? What is the rule that got me banned?? I have no idea. But it stinks.
Canuck E Stan Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 What is the rule that got me banned?? You assume the banning is because of anti-government views? Are you an idiot? Go back and reread your posts....carefully. Greg does a good job as moderator, and if he has banned you it's probably justified. I'll stick with his decision. Obviously you weren't saga4 before, who were you and let us tell you why you got banned. jdobbin Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 I was saga, and if you can show me why I was banned I would appreciate it. I can't point to exactly where because I didn't follow all the threads but I think the moderator has been trying to keep more personal attacks that name call off the forums. However, I didn't see it myself. I got in a heated discussion with someone a while back and it went over the top. I've tried to refrain from that because some people have their opinions and they aren't going to be changed by what is said here. And a few people have surprised me with their productive contributions about how something might be resolved. Others bring attention to issues other than their pet projects. I don't know what lead to your banning particularly. Sometimes you just have to agree to disagree.

jdobbin Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 I have always been a strong and proud Canadian ... but I also thought that when push came to shove, Canada would do the right thing. I no longer have that delusion. Canada deserves what it gets. Ignorance is not a virtue. We've heard that there is no Canadian land though and that we will all be evicted. Where will you go when you are asked to leave Canada?

Don't pretend that 'truth' means something to you. You revel in the fact that you have wasted 10 seconds of my time, nothing else. You're IP needs to be refused so you can't return with these snarky self-righteous posts. Nobody owes you an explanation. This dramaqueen routine is a waste of time. Charles Anthony Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Guys, surely our efforts are better spent feeding the pigeons instead, right? We do not have time for a meeting of the flat earth society. << Où sont mes amis ? Ils sont ici, ils sont ici... >>

After reading both posts I thought maybe the URL's were wrong or something. I didn't see anything worth banning over. I think those who break the law should be banned off the forum. ---- Charles Anthony banned me for 30 days on April 28 for 'obnoxious libel' when I suggested Jack Layton took part in illegal activities in a message parlor. Claiming a politician took part in illegal activity is not rightful cause for banning and is what is discussed here almost daily in one capacity or another. This was really a brownshirt style censorship from a moderator on mapleleafweb http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1oGB-BKdZg---
jbg Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 I haven't been around terribly long, but the moderation does seem fair. I do say I get "guidance" on some items such as use of mildly inflammatory terms. I cannot believe that similar private "guidance" was not given.
