NB absolutely gets equalization payments, so you benefit. I'm not sure why Quebec receives more, but will assume it has to do with the fact they have far more people than NB. I'm in BC which receives none. My life is still the same...but maybe now I can separate on my property because I haven't been treated fairly?  Doing more harm than good is a matter of opinion. Some provinces in Canada don't have the ability to generate as much revenue as others. That said.... I've never put too much thought into it.

You're talking about a West East pipeline. Quebecs the problem aren't they?  Nothing pulled out of my áss with the AB stats. The stats I saw was ~27% for the smaller group of unhappy fools who wanted to separate because their choice of party didn't get elected federally. The large majority may be unhappy with past or current governments, but they're still Canadian and prefer to stay that way. 

Whatever, can't please everyone.  But f you saw it on CBC, how do you know it's true?

I don't think I was 'complaining' about job losses and tariffs, but was definitely complaining about the guy most responsible for those job losses and tariffs.  Huh... what does this mean? We've beat this one to death.  You're of the opinion we should turtle and give Trump what he wants because 'we haven't carried our weight'.  I'm in the camp that we don't agree to a deal unless it benefits us, regardless of how long it takes.  We agree to disagree...  I'm wondering though if you ever see or listen to Trump.  Anyone with an ounce of common sense has figured out Carney is dealing with a petulant man child who has no idea what he wants, and generally influence by the last person he talks to.  It is what it is... wait him out if that's what it takes.

You say recruitment is not at a 30 year high but send me a link saying it is.  What is the problem... the more recruitments you get the more will fail, and the more will pass. I'll assume it's always been that way.  Why is recruits not being able to get through basic training a liberal problem?  Seems to me that's more on the individual and parents rather than any political party.  There's a few choices... lower the basic training standard, train the basic training applicants, or keep the same standards and better market the military as a top of mind choice for a younger persons career path.

sure, you can call it what ever you want, but to negotiate anything you have to be at the table, and the liberals have been absent for 8 months....Stop crying about tariffs and job losses  and get the liberals back to the table....I have listened to trump, this is hois second term, so nothing he says or does is new to anyone....if Carney was so smart he'd should have figured that out, and know how to handle him....instead he insults him constantly, provokes him regularly, does not want to sit at the table to talk....Carney has done nothing....of any value towards the topic...and mean time your waiting him out is costing us jobs.... that on the liberals....

I take it you did not read the article, it explains that anyone can take a bunch of names and say recruitment is up when the military training system is collapsed onto itself....due to lack of instructors and funding....these young kids are not going to wait forever until the military gets it's shit in a knot....the military falls under the Liberal government they hold the power to make changes in command or policies.....the Current CDS is a DEI hire, kick her to the curb and get someone in there that can make changes....

one more time they have not trained the amount of recruits the media is claiming....those are the intake numbers, the problem is not enough instructors at basic training level , trades training level, and advanced courses level....see a pattern here....young people are not going to wait more than 2 years for the military to call them...they move on to do something else...

To get more intact numbers they have lower the standards, both medically, and mentally....so a 300 lb person with mental issues can be accepted but can't meet any of the standards, is given a pass to meet quotas ....Quotas set by the government, see where the liberal come into all of this...and to top all of off, you no longer have to be a citizen , "anyone" can serve in the Canadian military....which set up a whole new set of problems, evident by problems with the first new batch of recruits from multiply backgrounds and countries...I guess it depends what you want....warriors, or a 300 lber that can not run across the parking lot, who is not even a citizen....it is bad enough Liberal government has made changes to dress and deportment, you can have nose rings, purple hair, man buns, beards, tampons in men's washrooms are a priority over simple and common sense things like training for combat...what the liberals don't get is this is people lives they are playing with.....lives like my son and daughter who are serving now....

Good soldiers are getting out because all these DEI policies and practices...being replaced by regular Canadians who could not walk across the parking lot....and yet not so long ago in Afghanistan the Average soldier had a ruck sack weighing in over a 100 Lbs, in 55 degree heat, in the mountains...and it strained harden soldiers....All of this is a result of liberal government and liberal direction....and if your good with that then sure but it is your son or daughter or other relative that is going to be forced into service and fight within this policies....don't worry funerals are paid for, so is a small contingent of soldiers if you qualify....plus as an added bonus you'll get to keep the flag that was draped over the aluminum coffin...

Yes it got 3.1 bil in equalization payments in 2025....WOW i mean we are all eating steak now....instead of kraft dinner...My life will never be the same thanks for the welfare....NB can survive without 3.1 bil which is my point and several other past NB premiers...

It does not matter what pipeline it is, liberals have made it almost impossible to build oner, not much point in discussing it...Carney has made some promises but it is all talk....the west east pipeline is a pipe dream...not going to happen...

And i'm pretty sure Alberta's problems are more than just not getting their party elected....
