gatomontes99 Posted May 8 Report Posted May 8 The Hill: Medicare fraud uncovered in Ohio, migrant welfare cheats exposed! “DOGE published a massive trove of data in February that, for the first time, lets the public see what companies are billing Medicaid for. For decades, the payouts have been shrouded in secrecy. One of the largest government programs was a black box. I’ve spent the past two months diving into the numbers. What I found was the most blatant waste of federal dollars that I have encountered in my two decades as an investigative reporter.” ********** Like I said in the other thread, the fraud is every where. So, why does the left get so mad when it is pointed out? In this case, an elected official is implicated for committing fraud AND he was taking kickbacks, in the form of campaign donations, from the fraudsters. 1 Quote Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?

In this case, an elected official is implicated for committing fraud AND he was taking kickbacks, in the form of campaign donations, from the fraudsters. Medicare FRAUD is the province of the Federal H&HS. And one of the largest cases was perpetrated by FL Senator Rick Scott(R) when he was CEO of Columbia/HCA Quote Before entering politics, Senator Rick Scott was the CEO of Columbia/HCA, which in 2000 and 2003 pleaded guilty to 14 corporate felonies and agreed to pay over \(\$1.7\) billion to federal authorities to settle15 allegations of systemic Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE fraud. It remains the largest healthcare fraud settlement in U.S. history. [1, 2, 3, 4] Here are the key details regarding the case: Nature of the Fraud: The investigation, which included a major FBI raid in 1997, found that Columbia/HCA, under Scott’s leadership, overbilled the government, billed for unnecessary lab tests, paid illegal kickbacks to doctors for referrals, and claimed non-reimbursable marketing costs as community education. Rick Scott’s Involvement: Scott was not personally charged with a crime, but he was forced to resign as CEO in 1997. During a later civil deposition in 2000, he invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination \(75\) times. "Golden Parachute": Despite resigning amidst the investigation, Scott left with a substantial, estimated \(\$300\) million in stock options and severance. "Taking Responsibility": During his 2010 run for Florida governor, Scott stated he took responsibility for what happened at the company, while also maintaining he was unaware of any wrongdoing at the time. Recent Context: In 2024, Scott described the investigation against him as "political persecution" and compared it to legal cases against Donald Trump. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8] Quote

The company was caught. The prosecutions handed out. The money was recovered. And not a single republican was mad about it. But you need a whataboutism because Ohio, California, NY, Massachusetts, Florida and Texas are all investigating serious fraud. I lolove that Texas and Florida and attacking this. Why do California, New York, Illinois, Massachusetts and all the blue states need the Fed to do the work? Shouldn't they want the right people to get the money instead of fraudsters? herbie Posted May 8 Report Posted May 8 Don't mention hundreds of thousands of native born welfare cheats, just the ONE migrant thatBecaus made the news. Because newsworthy doesn't mean new, uncommon or extraordinary - it means common every day happens all the time everywhere to the marginally literate. 1 Quote

Let's say you have a house party and it gets out of hand. What is the first step? Get everyone out of the house that is not supposed to be there. Second step, clean house. These party crashers are robbing a system that was meant to aid americans. They need to go. Then, we can start balancing the budget and rooting out the Americans that are cheating the system.
