Tell me who runs this country again?http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060613/ap_on_...bush_security_1 I'm sure the PM knew about it (it's PM, right?). While you make it seem like its some cowboy visit, I'm sure proper international relations protocol was followed. From what I can tell, these leaders in Iraq and Afghanistan are quick to assert their soverignty over matters of national policy and direction. August1991 Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 Bush shows up unannounced in Iraq. Tell me who runs this country again? In just over two years, Bush isn't going to be running any country. And to say that Bush "runs" a country is preposterous anyway. The US runs itself. The president "runs" a small part of the government of the US. Bush is not an autocratic, totalitarian dictator-for-life like Robert Mugabe, Fidel Castro, Saddam Hussein, or that weird guy with the funny hair in North Korea. This fact changes completely the nature of relations between the US and other countries. It's too bad, Newbie, you can't see the difference. Quote
