They are also cheaper when there's a Walmart in the area. They are cheaper because they have their own brands and don't offer rainchecks. AKA stock is unreliable. But the FACT is, they are 10-20% cheaper than major grocery stores because their staff is not unionized. You have to literally have to use your own bags whether you bring them or buy them. I forgot your in Commifornia where they force grocery stores to charge for bags. Do you really think NYC will allow non union grocers? As it stands now their plan involves solely using union workers. Yes, I think it is none of a state's business if a grocery store employs non-union staff. Quote Yes, non-union grocery employees are legal and allowed in New York City. While many traditional chains (e.g., Key Food, Stop & Shop) are unionized, many independent, gourmet, and some major chains operate with non-union staff. New York is not a "right-to-work" state, meaning employers can have union-only shops, but non-union jobs are common. And you are wrong AGAIN. Quote

So did all the Walmarts and other grocers who shut down, rent-a-cops have no power to do anything. Its sad i see a lot of these body cam videos and they have to wait until these criminals loot a felony's worth of goods over time before they finally are able to stop and press charges and have it mean anything. They can stop anyone from walking out the door with goods not paid for. And hold them until cops arrive Quote Yes, security guards can stop someone from leaving with unpaid goods and detain them until police arrive, provided they have probable cause to believe theft occurred. This authority, often called "shopkeeper's privilege," allows for temporary detention using reasonable, non-excessive force, but they cannot legally interrogate or punish suspects. So you're wrong again. Quote

There are lots of laws out there that say what people can or cannot do but there are also alot of lawsuits filed and won off stupid shit. Their hands are tied and most of the time they won't bother until the criminal has stolen enough to warrant a felony. Either way they press charges the cops send them to jail but due to bail reform they are let out same day go to another store and steal from there. Most likely won't get any jail time because woke DAs will blame racism or some nonsense for it. Quote

I was walking out of a Vons supermarket as a security guard was walking in, and she demanded to see my receipt, so I showed it to her. I'm sure she would have done something on the spot if I didn't have it. Quote
