Canadian dead beats doesn’t even care about the lives of its pilots. Why else would you want to buy a substandard plane that can be shot down before it even gets to the target…

I can't deny that Canada has been a deadbeat NATO member for years now. I'm certainly not an expert in the field of aviation but based on everything I've read, the F35 is clearly the better choice for Canada.

I still believe that what will tip the balance once and for all to the F35 is the fact that Carney has shares in Lockheed Martin.

Carney is only in the game to enrich himself.

Beware the Brookfield industrial complex...

Those that fly and fight for ur country say the F35 is a  better airframe  ........ and by extension deterrent.

Meanwhile....

This has been Canada 's way for decades....it is how procurement goes with tons of different agencies that have nothing to do with defense of the nation have a say in what equipment is purchase...But wait, it does not end there....the Canadian public has been brain washed in to thinking the grippen is by far the best plane, because they have been and are subject matter experts "who knew that paying taxes had so many benefits"......and those pilots that tested those planes in 3 separate completions were talking heads for Lockhart what do they know "apparently nothing", reminds me of sending my wife out to buy my power tools and her coming back with a screw driver when i asked for a cordless drill.........and now we know how the game is played what is it that we can change so that soldiers have the best equipment possible....or at least made by the second cheapest bidder...

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

Oh, Canada!

In terms of training, maintenance, weapons load, endurance, pilot familiarity  and depth it just makes sense to have equipment that can be supported by your major Allie.

........... but the debate is not about best  airframe ....... the debate is about best politics.

When has political debate ever brought back pilots alive to their families, never.......There are thousands of examples that clearly show politics or political debates have no business picking out military equipment, they are rarely right......And the Average Canadian knows jack sh!t about military equipment... or political debates...

..................defense contracts translates to regional contracts with by extension creates jobs and generates political support.

Always amusing listening to armchair quarterbacks discussing the pro/con of something like combat a/c - hilarious!

The real experts have given their opinion.

And in this case 3 separate times...the experts have spoken....and no one is listening. the entire process should be redone, skip the military testing and evaluations and go straight to public opinion...
