You root for your home team, dick all to do with politics.
I root for the Canucks until they're out, then the Western Cdn team, then whatever Cdn team left. If all the Cdn teams are out - TV goes off. Couldn't care less who wins, I come back next year.

Same with CFL, I hope Sask wins but I probably won't even watch.
