I read today that Kamala outspent Donnie some 5-1.

I would argue that spending that much money peppering people with ads can have an adverse reaction IF your messaging isn't on point. People can actually be repulsed by your candidate.

Abortion is one such issue. Touting your abortion likely turns the average person off.

Just my two cents as to why Trump could be badly out spent but still destroy Harris.

That's true. Did you see some of the ads that democrats ran? They ran ads tried to convince men to vote for harris that I swear were designed by someone who has never met a man in their entire life. They were insulting and off-putting. I'm sure if I'd had to see them everyday they would have had my skin crawling by the time we got to the election.

But the other problem is you can only get so far with negative advertising and most of her advertising was fairly negative whether it intended to be or not as far as I could tell.

But at the end of the day you have to have a message. You have to be telling a story. And it has to be a story about you and what you can do for the country. And she never ever had that story. And all the money in the world can't fix a bad story or no story, and even a little bit of money can spread a good story

Trump didn't really tell a great story either but he had a great track record compared to her and that was the difference

The message of those ads really highlights one of their great weaknesses. Are we having trouble with a certain demographic? It must be something wrong with them. Working class people aren't supporting us? Well, they are just uneducated anyway.  Our numbers with men are not good? That's because of toxic masculinity and misogyny. Let's put out an ad presuming we know what men all think and make a childish attempt at manipulating them. You guys are just to chicken to vote for Kamala. Bawk Bawk Bawk.

This is precisely true. The arrogance was overwhelming. The ads were dismissive, condescending to males, and basically said we promise we'll allow you to still grill dead animals and eat them if you just do as you're told and stop being the source of all evil in the universe.

These people were wildly out of touch
