Oh. He has a degree and did A study. That at best shows a correlation but skips any alternate reasons and common sense.

What happened to 'follow the science'?

Racial and ethnic voting has been a very well-known thing (though rarely ever spoken about) for decades. It's why almost any riding that has a strong minority of this or that racial/ethnic immigrant group invariably has multiple party candidates from THAT group.

Oh bullshit. Some people MAY vote for a candidate because of their race, but only the stupid vote for that reason ahead of their policy and party.
Although using the same stupid reasoning I can assure you many do to vote against a candidates race, I know quite a few people who didn't vote NDP specifically because of Singh's beard and turban, just as I know many indigenous people here who didn't vote Liberal because that candidate was the only native.

All are more likely to. That's what the research says.  I know you hate the science when it doesn't say what you want it to but that's what it says.

For once I agree with you.
Because there are far more stupid people out there than at anytime in history.

LOL - well i doubt it has anything to do with their intellect.

Since the dawn of  man people have tended to be more comfortable and find it easier to trust or relate to people that they consider to be "similar' to themselves in some fashion.  We're hardwired to be more trustful of people that speak the same language, have similar life experiences and celebrate the same cultural things like holidays and have a similar morality etc.  It's not even a conscious thing. It's just the way people are.
