As for defensive about the Military, yes I am. 35 years in Search and Rescue has made me very defensive about my service and what the Military does within Canada and over seas.

Oh please, stop with the whining. Shut them down as they are useless and puppets to the US. After more than 20 years there, I saw the waste of tax dollars.

And by the way, as a past flight instructor, the last guy I would want flying is someone with a degree or worse yet, a PhD. My best commercial student had high school and is happlily flying a B787-9 for AC. Yet the CF would turn him and others down. And another thing, if you want a degree, go to McGill or Waterloo because one from RMC is sub standard.

Definitely not a YES man aka "a follower".

What are you on (or off) about???

If you are attempting to discredit and shit on the Canadian military, you are just an A hole.  The men and women in the military do as they are asked for Canada, which is you. Besides pure military tasks, the fight your fires, they bag sand during flooding, the search for lost Canadians on land and at sea, they fly injured or sick Canadians to hospitals, they even shovel your sidewalks when called upon.

Not sure what your point is about a degreed graduate and flying. I know and have flown with many military pilots that did not have a degree. I also know many engineers and others that did not go to RMC. As a matter of fact, most officers with a degree did not go to RMC.

As for procurement of military equipment, it is very often politics that get in the way of what the military wants or needs. Politicians tell what to buy to help their constituents with jobs in their riding, even if the equipment is not what they really want. When Ms Jones, MP  from backwoods Canada gets on a committee , she has the power to change or halt military procurement. that is why it is talking 25 years to get ships or tanks or vehicles and even guns. If it was pure Military buying what they need, they would buy off the shelf and quick delivery.

You are just a bitter ex PS that could not climb the corporate ladder so you quit.

Why would you need more, when you do not need more.

Because I'm intelligent and have a brain. Simply pointing to another country and saying that somewhere completely different with completely different population completely different land mass and completely different circumstances does it differently and therefore we should too is a grade five level of thinking.

If you feel that we should have a different MP to population ratio then you need to make an argument as to why the one that we have right now doesn't work for us and something else would work better. You can't just say australia and leave it at that.

And who made you the pope.

So you also believe the pope is someone who relies on logic and thought?

I can see you have no life since you are on here 24/365.

Oh yes, the cheesy ad hominem's because you can't make an argument :)

Kid, if you want people to take you seriously you have to be able to articulate your argument. So far you have not been able to all you've been able to do is say other people in different circumstances with different issues do things differently.

And by the way, having worked for a Brit, eff the Westminster system. They seem to have this thing about them where they think their own shit does not stink.

Well then you must be British because you seem to believe exactly the same thing. And how stupid do you have to be to think that because you work for a British person once that the westminster style of governance used by dozens of countries around the world somehow is bad as a result? Do you think you are punishing that British person you worked for by saying that the system of government that his country came up with years before he was ever born is not to your liking?

Maybe you would be better off asking some questions at this stage instead of making statements. You obviously have no idea how logic or reason works, you don't understand the subjects you're talking about, and you can't articulate your own thoughts. So maybe if you take the time to ask others questions and see how they react you might learn more about these things and how to think more clearly.

Now - Go with Dog my son!  (dyslexic pope)

I worked on enough bases to know you are on a pic-nik.

Amazingly I was there to solve problems that DND didn't seem to have time for, yet they had their own personal vehicles on a lift and worked on them. Maybe not Greenwood where I was on a job, but at another base I was at.

When you are part of the system, you are part of the problem.

But it just wasn't DND, it was other departments as well. Nobody including good old JT is accountable in the government and the PS. Exactly why I left as I had enough of the BS. Not bitter at all as I am living extremely well.

Try working in the private sector and you'll find out what work is all about.

I highly doubt that. Just out of curiosity, where did you work.

If someone else can do it on less MPs per population and do it as good or better than we can, why can't we? I'm all ears. LOL

The problem there is "if".   That one word makes the rest of your sentence and the next one meaningless :)

You came her and said "AZZIES AND MURIKA HAVE LESS PER POP THAN WE DO SO WE BAD".   That's it. That's the height of your logic.

That doesn't fly for anyone with an education higher than grade 6.

If you're going to make that case then you would have to explain WHY having LESS representation in the house of commons would deliver a financial savings AND not reduce services or voice for the people.

And you'd have to make an argument for what WOULD be the most efficient number?  THe us and austrailia have different representations - so which one is correct? They can't BOTH be right according to you :)  Some kid in the US could be on a forum right now saying that Australia and Canada both have more representation than the US and therefore the US should have more senators and representatives.

If you can't make a case then you're just talking out of your ass and that's fine but don't get mad if people point and laugh :)
