myata Posted March 29, 2024 Report Posted March 29, 2024 Let's look at it objectively: there's a pressing issue that has bi-partisan support in both houses. The issue is not even about long-standing principles, claims and traditions. The word, and credibility of the country, the United States of America is at stake. And yet, one slimy face was able to block; delay and halt it, at every turn, for six months now: and keeps doing it, undeterred and unchallenged. Every day of delay, the credibility of the country bleeds and the price is paid, including in lives and yet with all the power, the Congress can do nothing about it. Is that how the founding fathers conceived it? That any question and issue, including of paramount and critical importance for the country, could be shuffled away, blocked and suppressed indefinitely by one smug face in a certain cozy chair? The answer is obvious: it's a symptom. This is not how democracy works, but authoritarianism, sure. And you're making it happen with your silence and your little hands. Don't blame anybody for that. This is exactly how it will go in the history. Quote If it's you or them, the truth is equidistant

Trump didn't block it he has no power besides call it political but why the hell should Republicans give Biden and Democrats a win when they ignored the problem for 3 years. There was another border bill that Schumer refused to let come the floor that was passed by the House. I don't see you crying about that one. Americans don't want compromise on the border, they want it shut down and they don't want 5000 people coming in daily. They want the asylum loophole closed and allow people to immediately be deported and not allowed in the country for years awaiting a hearing soaking up our resources. Trump has the POWER of influence over his MAGA CULT, and Republicons are scared shitless he will put them in a primary contest with no resources, now that Trump controls the RNC. You're a fool if you believe your LIE that Trump has "no power" over Republicon pols. Quote
