One leader?

This is not the late 1940s with a duopoly.

Since the 1990s, America won.

Like it or not, we are back in a multi-polar world.

Hint: He lives in Moscow.  Multi-polar doesn't have to mean armed conflict.  If Russia had any future as one of the poles they wouldn't be betting all their chips.

Regime change in Russia?

Is that the end-game of America in this Ukraine war?

And is China next?

Reagan defeated the Soviets - for the good of us all. Be happy, go home.

1. I sure didn't say THAT.

2. So ?  That was 35 years ago right ?

Michael,

You? Not at all. I'm fearful that certain Americans (Jake Sullivan for example) want to change the Russian state.

In 1815 and 1945, we created a structure of peace. In 1991, there was an earthquake - we need a new system.

I hear you and I read you.  Kissinger is dead.  Who has an idea of what would work?  A new Westphalia peace? You have 3 great powers, all with major flaws.

Australians always seek protection.

The British oppose any dominant European power.

English-Canadians apparently tend to seek survival.

French-Canadians are stubborn as hell.

This is a foolish war of nationalism. Young men are dying for nothing.

In 1910, Europeans already knew so much. They wondered more.

Some 100 years later, I travelled around the various parts of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire: Galicia, Lemnitz.

====

And then as in 1914, for no reason, like now I fear, it all fell apart.
