Dont tell me who you WANT in power. Tell me who you think WILL be in power. Dont beat around the bush. Give me the truth!

Sam,

You missed one.

NDP/Liberal Minority

There's talk that a coalition between the two of them could go this way even if the Conservatives have more seats than the Liberals.

Stan,

I would discount that one on a couple levels. I cannot see a coalition minority government working and I can't see the NDP and Liberals holding a majority together.

Liberal losses will far surpass NDP gains. Maybe they will have 140 seats between them ... maybe.

I think that the general underlying problems in Canada preclude any majority government from happening at all. I think it may be a Conservative minority, but it could fall back to the Liberals again. In either case, the election will have been a waste of taxpayers money thanks to the NDP who I understand forced the election.

The underlying problems I am talking about are Quebec's quest for a distinct society while imposing their will on the rest of the country, western alienation, immigrant problems, and a split of opinions on our brothers to the south.

I would welcome a complete revamp of the electorial process in Canada to fairly represent the different areas of the country. We are so past the era of 'what's good for Ontario and Quebec is good for the rest of the country'.

I think our federal government is too full of kissass politicians and WAY short on competent leaders.

The trouble with the legal profession is that 98% of its members give the rest a bad name.

Don't be humble - you're not that great.

I cannot see a CPC majority. They would be ecstatic with five seats in Quebec. Winning 150+ seats out of the 233 up for grabs in the Rest of Canada would be too much to ask for.

Hopefully a Conservative Majority, if not then a Conservative strong minority. ;)

Conservatives will win a minority January 23, but Prime Minister Dryden and the Libs will get a majority two years later. ;)
