Everyone cherry picks... it is part of being human. Take the positives that you can or overestimate the negatives. That being said... housing is usually the one aspect of any cost of living metric that has the greatest affect numerically. Why? not that complicated. Housing is not made up of one single item. It is the amalgamation of labor, products, and financing. Add in to that.. we have zoning laws and seemingly random settlement patterns that affect the price in some locales.
