Republicans roll out new national voting law, warn Americans to watch out for Democrat deception

ATLANTA – House Republicans have introduced a bill aimed at securing election integrity across the country while also issuing a stark warning to Americans to watch out for possible Democrat deception surrounding the legislation.

Five Republican members of the Committee on House Administration (CHA) held a press conference at the famous Marietta Diner near Atlanta on Monday to officially roll out the American Confidence in Elections (ACE) Act, something they say will give states the tools they need to not only protect the integrity of their elections, but also restore voter confidence in the elections process.

The bill includes a photo ID requirement to cast a federal election ballot, bars non-citizens from voting, requires annual maintenance of voter rolls, and prevents the mailing of unsolicited ballots to rolls that have not been maintained.

For those not paying attention, this is what the bill says:

a. Photo ID at all polling  places

b. Non citizens do not vote

c. Yearly maintenance of voter rolls (to track who has moved away and who moved in)

c. No maiilng of unsolicited ballots.

That's reasonable. Only someone who plans to CHEAT would object to those COMMON SENSE ideas. They do not violate the Constitution. They do not discriminate against anyone (except illegal alien animals).

I like it, but I wish they'd kill mail in balloting for everyone except military and the convalesced.

They also need to address those goddamned Dominion voting machines - find out for sure what in the f*ck they're pumping out. Is it, Republican in, Democrat out? Is it weighted in favor of democrats? They need to figure that shit out or just ban them from our elections.

Bottom line, the election should be decided ON ELECTION NIGHT. It's when the blue states claim they're still counting votes that fraud is taking place. The ONLY time the mail votes were a problem for the Democrats was when the military absentee ballots came in to Florida for the Bush/Gore race and put Bush WAY over the top. The Algore campaign tried to throw those votes out.

Agreed. Election night only.

I remember that bullshit with Gore. He's as bad as Biden if not worse.

You're saying these rules were not already in place?

Here you have a check to allow them to update elections info on your yearly income tax form. Election time you're mailed a voter card. Don't file, you ave to request one.
You have to show the card, and 2 pcs ID (DL, medical, officlal govt ID have photos) to be handed a ballot.
Of course you can't vote if you're not a citizen
Mail in ballots have to be requested not just sent out w/o proper ID. Sometimes election ppl bring polls to hospitals & jails etc.

You can still vote with proof of ID in another district and without being on the list.

Votes are paper ballots counted by scrutineers right there at the station. No machines.
Mail in ballots and those oddball votes are counted last, for official record purposes. If the number of them is enough to possibly make a difference they tell you on election night.

Of course we don't vote directly for a Prime Minister, he's just the leader of the party with the most seats, which you can think of as sort of like your Electoral College by smaller areas not by whole states.

Like, I can't believe you could just walk up and vote without ID or they just mail ballots out to the general public. Or that you don't have a non-partisan Federal Dept that says 'these are the rules to vote Federally and no exceptions'. States should have no right to say who and how citizens vote for President.

Biden stole the election. It's like NONE of them were in place.

Florida doesn't have a state income tax. All  voting precincts are administered at the county level. And it would seem like Florida has had almost ZERO voting problems, compared to any blue state.

You have to show the card, and 2 pcs ID (DL, medical, officlal govt ID have photos) to be handed a ballot.

Some places do not have that rule. And liberals SCREAMED when the photo ID thing was proposed. So there are spots where a person can go from one precinct to another all day long and vote for a Democrat and not get caught.

Of course you can't vote if you're not a citizen

https://humanevents.com/2021/10/07/7-states-are-pushing-non-citizen-voting/

States where local jurisdictions allow non-citizens to vote or are considering doing so include Maryland, California, Illinois, Vermont, District of Columbia, New York and Massachusetts.

https://www.fox5ny.com/news/voting-by-mail-9-states-send-ballots-automatically-35-allow-covid-19-as-an-excuse-6-require-other-reason

These 9 states and D.C. send ballots ahead of the election automatically to registered voters

  • Vermont
  • Nevada
  • District of Columbia
  • California
  • New Jersey
  • Colorado
  • Hawaii
  • Utah
  • Washington
  • Oregon

FIrst vote I ever cast was absentee. It was in 1979. I was traveling at the time. I lived in North Carolina and was going to be in Pennsylvania for Election Day, so I applied for an absentee ballot. Easiest thing in the world to do, for someone who wants to obey election law.

There should be NO mail in voting, except for Absentee, which should be requested at EVERY cycle.

And EVERY precinct should be required to do a voter registration purge to get rid of registrations for voters who have either moved away, died, or were convicted of a felony.
