However, with foot problems and a major incline (Snoqualmie) coming up.. probably best to bow out. We had already endured quite the climb coming up from the south to Baker City, OR. An elevation gain of 3,000 feet over 18 miles at 95 degrees and no shade whatsoever is exhausting. Oh for sure that's a tough ride. And then after you go past La Grande (I'm assuming) and back down past Pendleton it's a lot of nothing for a long time. Those passes are so steep they're closed very frequently in the winter. Good on you. After Baker City, we went north to Union and then LaGrande. From there, traveled north to Elgin and then Walla Walla, WA. We went to Walla Walla because he had family there and we took a one day pit stop. 1 Quote
