Montgomery Burns Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 An amazing interview with the former Butcher of Basra It's a quick read but fascinating. Ali Ibrahim Al-Tikriti discusses how Saddam admired Joseph Stalin and his terror tactics against the Russian people. He also admired Hitler too. He discusses how they were trained to believe in only the greater good and individuals were not important. He discusses the mass graves all over Iraq. He also states that "If those who opposed the war really knew what happened in Iraq and who and what they were supporting they would never go to the streets with a sign protesting what President George W. Bush has done." He also claims he has no doubt where Saddam's WMD are...which will be no surprise to the informed. Quote "Anybody who doesn't appreciate what America has done, and President Bush, let them go to hell!" -- Iraqi Betty Dawisha, after dropping her vote in the ballot box, wields The Cluebatâ„¢ to the anti-liberty crowd on Dec 13, 2005. "Call me crazy, but I think they [iraqis] were happy with thier [sic] dumpy homes before the USA levelled so many of them" -- Gerryhatrick, Feb 3, 2006.
newbie Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 frontpagemag: A little too right wing for my taste. But I have read (from more objective websites) that Saddam was fond of Hitler and Stalin. As far as Ali Ibrahim Al-Tikriti's credibility on the WMD, well, he didn't come by the name of Butcher of Basra by selling cookies. If there is a hint of truth in this interview why isn't he being tried for his crimes? Quote
theloniusfleabag Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Dear newbie, If there is a hint of truth in this interview why isn't he being tried for his crimes? He is on trial for his crimes, (and a plea has been made for him to be released to seek cancer treatment) which would make it very difficult for him to show up for some right-wing nut's interview). So I would suggest that no, there isn't a hint of truth to the interview ever taking place. http://www.trial-ch.org/trialwatch/profile...facts/p147.html http://www.trial-ch.org/trialwatch/profile.../facts/p63.html Quote Would the Special Olympics Committee disqualify kids born with flippers from the swimming events?

Now really. What part of Ali being born in 1942 and Barzan being born in 1951 led you to conclude they were the same person? There is NO reference - in your link - to Barzan being referred to as the Butcher of Basra. Ali defected from Iraq and Barzan was captured by US forces in April 2003 in Iraq. They don't even have the same name! Yet you conclude that Front Page Magazine just made this interview up. Now for the $64 question: Who is the real wingnut? It's a fake interview! There is/was no Ali Ibrahim Al-Tikriti! Front Page Magazine - who are obviously neocons - made up this interview! It's a rightwing source so obviously it is a lie! Only the CBC and the NY Times tell the Pure Truth! There were no WMD in Iraq! Never! Saddam and Al Qaeda were never in bed together! Bwahahaha! Oh man. The DU rejects never cease to amaze me. The DU rejects never cease to amaze me. As far as we know, you are the only 'DU reject' here (self-admittedly, no less). Small wonder. You are long overdue to be a MLW reject. Black Dog Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 What the heck is DU, anyway? Depleted Uranium, I think. Monty puts it on his cornflakes every morning because it helps him see the ThoughtRays that beam from the Soviet-style CBC, liberal news sources and even left-ish internet discussion board posters, which then enables him to reject those who seek to contaminate his Pure Thoughts and turn him into a baby-eating, Islamofascist commie atheist Democrat. Thus "DU rejects." Quote

Montgomery Burns Posted November 13, 2005 Author Report Posted November 13, 2005 What the heck is DU, anyway? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> DU is DemocraticUnderground.com, the largest North American fever swamp of a "progressive" liberal website on the internet. Their messageboard is always entertaining. Democrats John Conyer and even Elizabeth Edwards from the Kerry campaign have posteed at the DU. The DU is a huge "community" and it represents a sizeable portion of the left's mindset. Here's an example of a post from a thread titled: I Hate America mntleo2: Marc Marin On Morning Sedition with Air America Radio. He rocks and that title says it all with these hypocritical fools. They do not give a d*mn about Jesus, they worship money and hate anyone who is outside of the womb. They have literally crapped on the word of God and made it into a bank account. Since right wingnuts run the show in all forms of government right now, they are responsible for EVERYTHING that is happening right now locally, nationally, and internationally. Every child that starves ~ their fault. Every homeless person ~ they are the ones perpetuating it and who cause it with their oily greed. Every community that is poisoned ~ their fault they care more about the corporations than they do Americans. The thievery and money grubbing in our government~ all on them. Every single person killed in Iraq, ALL THEIR FAULT, they are so violent they LIED about it all. All the deaths of nuns, priests, children and innocents in S America - they did it. Every rich person that benefits while the rest of us starve ~ their fault. he reason the rest of the world looks at us in contempt ~ they made this. The shame of the media's lack of anything that connotates fairness ~ they are the oines cramming this crap down our throats. If every liberal said this from now on, every time there is some kind of problem: "It is ALL YOUR FAULT!" They could not say a word about it. All together now: IT IS ALL YOUR FAULT, YOU RIGHT WINGNUT RELIGIOUS DEATH CULT NEO-NAZIS!" When people accuse me of hating America I agree with them. The far-lefties on this forum aren't quite so blunt about it - because of the forum rules - but I believe they feel the same way.
