Leafless Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 According to the Liberals an early election would derail progress on everything from aboriginal poverty to medical wait times. That's okay Mr. Martin because between you and Mr. Chretien had lots of time to turn things around concerning health care and aboriginal problems but were still waiting--a few weeks or months will make little difference. We are eagerly waiting for that confidence vote expected Nov.15/2005. http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2005/11...pf-1295267.html Quote

Bakunin Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 According to the Liberals an early election would derail progress on everything from aboriginal poverty to medical wait times. hmm, thats weird, i always thought that to derail progress there had to be some kind of "progress". But the only thing i see is degression. Or maybe they meant a negative progression. Is the health care system broken again? Already? The funniest thing is they will end up using healthcare as an argument to re-elect the PLC by scaring people about healthcare reform when canada's system is such old and inadapted that it can only be compared with cuba and north korea's one ... Canuck E Stan Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Letters,we get letters.... Many said that unless the Liberals did something quickly, Canadians would throw them out of office in the next election. Warned one: "You'd better watch your ass on this one because this could be your greatest demise!''Paul Martin receives about a million pieces of correspondence each year, and can read very few of these missives. "He does have a chance to read some, and is briefed regularly on the general content and trends of correspondence coming into the Prime Minister's Office,'' said spokesman Marc Roy. Most of the letters and e-mails received a stock response -- "Please be assured that the statements you made have been carefully reviewed'' -- and many were forwarded to Industry Minister David Emerson's office, which is responsible for preventing price fixing. This bunch sure didn't show any love for Martin. Gomery could easily have have been the last straw for many of them. Paul Martin 16 Sept 2004Is the health care system broken again? Already? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Martin has spent over 10 years cutting, cutting, cutting from health care in various ways to fund his deficit reduction. It hasn't been fixed at all.... yet. Maybe he's talking about derailing Mr. Layton's plan to stop the spread of privatization of our health-care system.... Quote
