CITIZEN_2015
While governments at all levels were encouraging Canadians to get a flushot this year back in late September and early October and should have anticipated the increased demand, however, they have not provided enough vaccines for the population and many pharmacies have cancelled or are cancelling booked appointments while Ontario health minister denied there is a flu vaccine shortage in Ontario. Is this called total incompetency on their part or there is another word for that? Edited November 7, 2020 by CITIZEN_2015

CITIZEN_2015
Lucky you. I booked appointments for myself and my family with Rexall more than two weeks ago. They were cancelled citing lack of vaccines. https://toronto.citynews.ca/2020/11/02/ontario-pharmacy-flu-shots/ Edited November 8, 2020 by CITIZEN_2015
Argus
Rexall seems to have a problem. I got mine simply by showing up at the drug store in my Independent Grocer. No appointment necessary. My brother got his at Shoppers. Also no appointment needed. Edited November 8, 2020 by Argus
CITIZEN_2015
I just went through the long process of filling application form for myself and my dependents at shoppers drug mart and they emailed me a code to be presented at any of their stores within 7 days however, they also advised me to check availability of vaccine before showing up at their store and NONE of their stores that I checked have vaccines available right now. So the problem is not limited to Rexall but every pharmacy. My parents are most vulnerable so if they didn't have the competence to provide vaccines for everyone then at least they should have made it available to the elderly like those over 80, especially this year a mix with covid-19 will flood our emergencies. AFAIK it is more available to seniors. The first time I asked at my drug store they said they only had the doses for seniors just then and to check back next morning. Young or senior or elderly doesn't matter. I would have got at least my parents vaccinated if I was aware of their incompetency.

CITIZEN_2015
Ontario government has ordered flu vaccines only for a third of Ontario population while it is encouraging hard for everyone to get one. What is the word for these people? Incompetent is too mild. Edited November 10, 2020 by CITIZEN_2015
