I'm under the assumption that there were something like 40,000 draft dodgers that went to live in Canada. 

My proposal is to have them serve some sort of symbolic house arrest for desertion and allow them to reapply for citizen ship.

I'm still sore all the Never Trumpers didn't move to Canada like they promised with Trump was elected :lol:

On January 21, 1977 President Jimmy Carter pardoned the draft dodgers and made good his campaign promise to grant unconditional pardons to those who fled the U.S. to evade the draft during the war in Viet Nam.
