So this could get bad, not like it's already bad between these two nations battling over a contested area. Quote MUZAFARABAD, Pakistan -- Pakistan's military said Wednesday it shot down two Indian warplanes in the disputed region of Kashmir and captured a pilot, answering an airstrike a day earlier by Indian fighter jets inside Pakistan and raising tensions between the nuclear-armed rivals to a level unseen in two decades. Within hours Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan went on television urging peace talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying both countries needed to step back from the brink and warning that "miscalculations" could drag their two countries into a war that neither side would benefit from. "Let's sit together to talk to find a solution," Khan said. Quote

Argus Posted February 28, 2019 Report Posted February 28, 2019 You have two crazy undemocratic governments which hate each other loaded with mostly Russian and Chinese military equipment and lots of cannon fodder to allow their leaders to beat their chest and cause lots of mayhem. How could that go wrong? An election is coming up in India, and I'm sure their Hindu nationalist government would love to get votes on the back of beating on the Pakistanis. As for Pakistan, its government is not actually in charge of anything anyway. That country is run by the generals and secret police, as it has been for decades. God only knows what they're up to or what they're willing to do.
