Montgomery Burns Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 caesar: Remember Monty; Osama bin laden and the Bush family are friends. Bush allowed planes to fly the bin Ladens out of the USA while refusing to let Americans land after the WTC attacks. PS You are now fair game for spelling/typing errors. If it was a typo, fair enough. I took it as you trying to say that inbridled was a real word. The bin Laden family has long disavowed Osama (since the early '90s), and has cooperated fully with several federal investigations into his activities. And it was Richard Clarke who allowed them to fly out, not Bush. From Richard Clarke: "After 9/11, I think the Saudis were perfectly justified ... in fearing the possibility of vigilantism against Saudis in this country. When they asked to evacuate their citizens ... I thought it was a perfectly normal request," he explained. In May, Clarke admitted that he, and he alone made the decision to approve the flyouts. As for your hapless attempt to portray Osama as supporting Bush's re-election (when in fact he said so on tape -right before the election - that states that didn't vote for Bush would be spared terror attacks), I wish you wouldn't naively swallow everything you read when you do a google search. You have little credibility on this forum and you are only making yourself look worse. Why can't you just admit you made an error? As for Michel Chossudovsky, would this be the same Chossudovsky who spoke at a program sponsored by the International Action Center in 1999? And who is the International Action Center allied with? International ANSWER (act now to stop war and racism). And who created and controls International Answer? Why, it is the communist Workers World Party. The despicable record of WWP in promoting Stalinist and fascist dictators is old news. WWP, the patron of International ANSWER, is on record supporting: 1) The pitiless massacre of Chinese protestors by the armed forces in Tiananmen in 1989. WWP states, "troops were issued arms after some students took some soldiers hostage. On June 4, 1989, the demonstration changed from a peaceful protest to violent attacks on the soldiers… events were a battle – not a massacre." Everybody in the world knows this is a disgusting lie. 2) The dictatorship of Saddam Hussein, among whose defenders WWP are doubtless the most fawning. Their newspaper, also titled Workers World, wrote gleefully, in 2001, "more and more countries had begun individually breaking the ban on flights and other sanctions against Iraq." Right: countries with an equally bad or worse record, like Yugoslavia, which supplied Iraq with illegal chemical, biological, and other weapons. 3) The evil regime of crazed North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il. WWP hack Deidre Griswold, who has been shoveling this manure for some 35 years, recently wrote, from the Communist hell itself, "People here in the socialist north of Korea are well aware of U.S. President George W. Bush's remarks branding their country as part of an ‘Axis of Evil.’ It has in no way dampened their ardor for their independent socialist system. Koreans today are celebrating the continuity of leadership represented by unity around Kim Jong Il, who is pledged to follow the course of national independence and socialist construction charted by Kim Il Sung… the North Korean socialist system, which has kept it from falling under the sway of the transnational banks and corporations that dictate to most of the world." No mention here of the numerous individuals and families that have risked their lives and those of their relatives to escape the reality of North Korean socialism, or of North Korean international weapons sales, kidnapping of foreign nationals, terrorist attacks, or other details. 4) In one of its most disgusting, and continuous, displays of admiration for genocidal fascists, WWP, the leaders of International ANSWER are prominent defenders of indicted Serbian war criminal Slobodan Milosevic. When the trial of Milosevic began 3 years ago at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague, Netherlands - The International Action Center (who Michel Chossudovsky supports), predecessor of International ANSWER, "sent a delegation to take part in activities showing solidarity with the defendant and opposing the ‘trial’ as a NATO frame up." They declared, "Washington and its NATO allies hopes (sic) to pin the guilt for the 10 years of civil war in the Balkans on the Yugoslav leader." Who in the world, aside from fevered extremists (Caesar?), believes this swill? WWP has also published expensive volumes defending Milosevic. Quote "Anybody who doesn't appreciate what America has done, and President Bush, let them go to hell!" -- Iraqi Betty Dawisha, after dropping her vote in the ballot box, wields The Cluebat™ to the anti-liberty crowd on Dec 13, 2005. "Call me crazy, but I think they [iraqis] were happy with thier [sic] dumpy homes before the USA levelled so many of them" -- Gerryhatrick, Feb 3, 2006.
caesar Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Monty: remember this sarcastic remark over a misspelling: Oh the irony. "Inbridled" stupidity? There is no such word as "inbridled." The bin Laden family has long disavowed Osama (since the early '90s), and has cooperated fully withseveral federal investigations into his activities. And it was Richard Clarke who allowed them to fly out, not Bush. Yeah, right; I am sure it was Clarke's decision all alone. The error was yours; not mine. The lack of credibility is yours as it was on CBC forum. Quote

IrishAndProud Posted June 19, 2005 Report Posted June 19, 2005 I totally agree. Cuba has achieved so much. Were would you rather live? In a world were your leader kills for money and oil or a world were the government pays for your education, your arts, your culture and your heath. What more does a man want. People who left Cuba because if they wern't with Fidel then they were against him. The majority were people enjoying priviledges that the common man who worked in the street couldnt enjoy. So Fidel made it fair for every1 and if you want to Huff about it then go to America. There are lots of stupid Americans who don't even know anything about Marxism but still see it as the evil. Miama seems the best place to flee if your selfish. Real socialists don't see Cuba as socialist but there are many aspects thats are socialist. We don't support dictatorships it in the face of "gringo" then a dictatorship is the only thing possible to hold the Island together. I support Cuba and anybody who is slightly open minded would do so. Castro has executed many people but look what he has achieved. George Bush Murders people everyday and the fill his own pockets with gold. Americans need to break free from this patriotic American rubish. Be proud your American but don't be proud of the fact that you are under the control of American big Business for my American friends that is what you are. People who hate Lenin Marx and even Che? Do you know who these men are Castro called Cuba a heaven on earth and says his message to George W. Bush is that Cubans "prefer to die in heaven this way. This country is heaven in the spiritual sense of the word, and I say we prefer to die in heaven than to survive in hell." CBC Prefer to die "this way"? This guy will be forgotten within months of his death (he'll be 78 this year). Who remembers any of the leaders of Eastern Europe now? At most, it'll be like Duplessis. An underling (Raul?) will replace him for a short while and then the whole thing will unravel. After Castro, Cuba will quickly resemble other Caribbean islands and most people will prefer to forget this long, strange episode. Castro's efforts will be completely in vain, a tragic waste of time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Quote
