betsy Posted March 29, 2016 Report Posted March 29, 2016 (edited) No matter what the polls say.....do Latinos really hate Trump? An interview by CBC with Latino in Florida, he said that there is a demographic group of Latinos that is in favor of Trump. He did win in Florida. That, there are Latinos in favor of Trump, could be true anywhere else. I don't think his comments about Mexicans being rapists and drug dealers is being taken literally that he meant all Mexicans are rapists and drug dealers. Latinos who fled to the USA seeking a better life would undoubtedly refuse to want the criminal elements they'd fled from to eventually establish itself in the USA. This one Latina fan had stated that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5j8J5h29nQ8 So, what do you think? Are the Latino polls to be trusted? Edited March 29, 2016 by betsy Quote
betsy Posted March 29, 2016 Author Report Posted March 29, 2016 (edited) Polls seem to have been proven wrong in Nevada. Among the things Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump highlighted Tuesday night in his victory speech after winning the Nevada caucuses was that he carried the Latino vote. Trump scores big win in Nevada "You know what I'm really happy about, because we've saying it for a long time? Forty-six percent with the Hispanics! Forty-six percent! Number one with Hispanics!," the real estate mogul said. In the end, it's probably too early for Trump to say that he's "No. 1 with Hispanics."But it's also too early to say that he's not, in spite of the anti-immigrant rhetoric that has alienated a significant portion of this voting bloc. http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/25/politics/donald-trump-hispanic-latino-voters/ Edited March 29, 2016 by betsy Quote
BubberMiley Posted March 29, 2016 Report Posted March 29, 2016 I suppose they would have to be the Republican Latinos if they can vote in the primary. That would just be Juan and his brother, so it might not be the landslide support he's hoping for. WestCoastRunner Posted March 30, 2016 Report Posted March 30, 2016 I don't think his comments about Mexicans being rapists and drug dealers is being taken literally that he meant all Mexicans are rapists and drug dealers. So, what do you think? Are the Latino polls to be trusted? What if he said that about Canadians? 'Not all Canadians are rapists and drug dealers'. Seriously, Betsy. You need to put on your critical thinking hat. Quote I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life's a bitch. You've got to go out and kick ass. - Maya Angelou
BC_chick Posted March 31, 2016 Report Posted March 31, 2016 He pretty much said the Mexicans who come to the US are criminals and rapists... with a shrugging afterthought that some are perhaps good people. " Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.” Quote It's kind of the worst thing that any humans could be doing at this time in human history. Other than that, it's fine." Bill Nye on Alberta Oil Sands
betsy Posted March 31, 2016 Author Report Posted March 31, 2016 (edited) What if he said that about Canadians? 'Not all Canadians are rapists and drug dealers'. Seriously, Betsy. You need to put on your critical thinking hat. You've got to understand first why he said that about Mexicans. What do you think is the problem with that border? Context is important. If I follow your lead in using Canadians, then he's most likely to say, "Not all Canadians are terrorists!" Isn't that a fact? Edited March 31, 2016 by betsy Quote

Mexicans who fled Mexico due to crimes and corruption would agree to that! How many of them I wonder, would welcome those criminal elements to settle in the USA? Talk about your nightmares following you...... Will Mexicans come out and be vocal against these criminals - especially when you've also got the drug cartel? Of course not. People who experienced oppressive regimes had learned to keep their heads under the radar. So....I don't think those polls are accurately giving the true picture. Edited March 31, 2016 by betsy Quote
