I don't think it is. Xenophobia is basically a fear of foreigners. I'm from the UK, and Argus has never been mean to me.

I think it's fair to assume people are taking it as a given that your parents didn't immigrate to the UK from Pakistan or Somalia.

It's not a case of what to do about it. Who the hell knows? It's a case of admitting that's the way it is and not being afraid to say so. It does not cast aspersions on those Muslims who are all for a quiet life to say that there are some who are not.

Honestly, it's not xenophobia.

That's what I thought, but you seemed to be upset over the contention that some Muslims in this country might not be as peace loving as others, and given the proclivity of many on here to regard any justifiable criticism of Islam as an attack on every single Muslim on the planet I thought I'd push for a little clarification.

Unfortunately, many of the criticisms of Muslims here fit very snugly into the idea of xenophobia. One way you can tell is by their inaccuracies.

No they don't. In fact, they seem fairly benign most of the time. There have been one or two weirdos on here but they've been banned.

Claims of constant failures of immigrants have been shown to be inaccurate various times on here as I recall. I'm sure there will be more. Such is the nature of xenophobia.
