This whole crowd in the report seem likely unable to come up with a brain cell among them However it looks like they will continue to get their wish to occupy government buildings for a while longer.

The problem is that there may be one or two smart enough, who think they have a worthy cause and will blow up a building full of gubmint workers (and children) ala McVeigh if given the opportunity....

The buffoon from the article probably won't last long in the refuge without some twinkies...

So the heroes of the gubbmint resistance movement are a bunch of wife-beating whackos. Why is this not a surprise?

Still your heroes Derek2.0?

http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/feb/02/arrested-oregon-militiamen-criminal-histories-malheur-refuge-occupation

The arrested militiamen of the Oregon refuge occupation have had extensive previous run-ins with the law – and a history of anti-government protests that federal officials are now using against them in court.

In recent filings in federal court in Portland, prosecutors have detailed the criminal histories of the 11 people facing felony charges for their involvement in the armed occupation of the Malheur national wildlife refuge, which began 2 January and continues to drag on this week with no end in sight.

The men’s rap sheets include cases of domestic violence, illegal firearm possession, terrorist threats, resisting arrest and drug crimes, according to the court records.

Well there you go:

"We believe he had already been shot before he ever lowered his hands," the statement continued. "We believe some of his hand movements were a natural reflex to being shot."

The family commissioned its own autopsy on Finicum that was completed over the weekend, according to a family member. The family hasn't released details from that autopsy.

And I would assume they won't release their findings because they are building their own court case and are waiting on:

Finicum's family called on the FBI to release all audio recordings from the shooting, including what Cox had recorded on her phone. They also requested all unedited video taken by drones, body cameras and dash cameras as well as close-up images of Finicum's truck after the shooting.

Odd that the Feds have let Cox be released on bail......but not her phone.

If the private autopsy confirms Finicum was shot on his lower left side, and his movements were a reaction to a gunshot he received well his hands were up, I'll fully expect legal proceedings against the officer(s) and then a huge civil suit......make no mistake, though many of the refuge protesters are of modest means, Finicum's estate owns a 90k acre ranch, and has the resources for a protracted legal fight.

I would think one would need to be rather naive to take the families version of events seriously. No bias there eh? Finicum set the stage when he disobeyed police orders to exit the vehicle at the first stop, and decided instead to race away, probably not bright enough to think they wouldn't have a secondary one setup. Then trying to bypass that roadblock made things even worse. Police had every indication that he would be armed. Whether or not he had his 9mm in his pocket has not yet been confirmed, although the FBI claims he did. There were also loaded .223's in the vehicle. If the FBI was worried about what the video would reveal, I doubt they would have released it. What happened is Darwin award material.

All the time people spend spinning out theories about how this 'poor hero' died is really weird. I wish they'd just blown up the car as it drove by and killed everyone in it. They're nothing but violent trash.

That's an ironically violent solution. Edited by cybercoma

You do see the (irony) in your statement do you?

So? How do the police normally deal with violent people? With violence. How else do you deal with violent people?

I suppose if you're French you just surrender. I'm not French.

The FBI has surrounded the final 4 Yeehawdis

Fry, 27, of Blanchester, Ohio, sounded increasingly unraveled as he continually yelled, at times hysterically, at what he said was an FBI negotiator.

"You're going to hell. Kill me. Get it over with," he said. "We're innocent people camping at a public facility, and you're going to murder us."

"The only way we're leaving here is dead or without charges," Fry said, who told the FBI to "get the hell out of Oregon."

Fry, from Ohio, tells the FBI they should get out of Oregon.

And the FBI have since backed off.........listening to the live stream, a gaggle of supportive of Western State senators and Rev Billy Graham's son (Franklin Graham) are meeting them in the morning and they will surrender the refuge and themselves.
