maplesyrup Posted November 27, 2004 Author Report Posted November 27, 2004 They aren't as much worried about the street protests as they are about closet Parrish clones in the Liberal party who might come out during Bush's address to Parliament. What an affront to democracy and the Canadian people that Bush is not even going to address our MPs. Typical Martin antics. Everything has to be controlled like a TV commercial. Just imagine what it could mean to the rest of the world if they were allowed to see how Canadians really feel about Bush's policies instead of this canned bullshit. Big Blue Machine Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 You shouldn't protest. How would you like it if Americans protested Mr. Martin? Quote And as I take man's last step from the surface, for now but we believe not too far into the future. I just like to say what I believe history will record that America's challenge on today has forged man's destiny of tomorrow. And as we leave the surface of Taurus-Littrow, we leave as we came and god willing we shall return with peace and hope for all mankind. Godspeed the crew of Apollo 17. August1991 Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 What an affront to democracy and the Canadian people that Bush is not even going to address our MPs.What an affront to Canada. I thought Canada was a civilized country where people as diverse as Jacques Parizeau and Ru Paul could speak publicly. Apparently not. Shame on us.How would you like it if Americans protested Mr. Martin? If it happened, I'd want to see proof. Quote
Guest eureka Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 I would suggest that democracy is in deep trouble if there are no protests. How else are these "leaders" to be made aware that not everyone is willing to stand aside for government excesses. Quote
JWayne625 Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 How would you like it if Americans protested Mr. Martin? If it happened, I'd want to see proof. Why would anyone in the US protest Martin? In the big picture Paul Martin is just another nobody. A wanabe world leader. Quote
Tawasakm Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 You shouldn't protest. How would you like it if Americans protested Mr. Martin? If Americans want to protest against Mr Martin then that is their democratic right. I can't see any reason for them not to. Nobody should give away their right to protest just because people in another country might protest someone from yours at another time. Quote
August1991 Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 Still, Mr. Bush said he wanted to “thank the few Canadians who came out to wave — with all five fingers — for their hospitality.”Say what you will about Bush Jnr, he's got a sense of humour.Globe & Mail Quote
maplesyrup Posted December 1, 2004 Author Report Posted December 1, 2004 Bush convicted of war crimes in mock trial Check out the pic! I agree he does have a sense of humour, but it looks like he may need more than that in Halifax! Quote An education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know.
