Topaz Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Which ever party has the majority in the House usually gets to chose the Speaker, so who would u suggest for Speaker? What about May or someone in the NDP, which would balance out the fairness out in the House. Quote

What about May or someone in the NDP, which would balance out the fairness out in the House. I can't imagine May seriously wanting the job, as it would pretty much sideline her, and I can't imagine the rest of Parliament wanting her. My opinion is that she is not the right person for that job. And neither the NDP nor the Tories are going to want to remove any of their MPs. Remember, the Speaker effectively becomes non-partisan and only casts a vote if there is a tie. It will be a member of the governing caucus, I'm sure. Maybe David McGuinty? Quote
Smeelious Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Maybe it'll be a male on odd days, and a female on even days. Interestingly, I think Harper would make a great speaker. Quote
Topaz Posted November 13, 2015 Author Report Posted November 13, 2015 How could Harper make a good speaker when he didn't know what was going on in his own office? Besides he's very bias towards the Liberals. Quote

overthere Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 The staff of The Ascended One is combing the caucus to find a visible majority, bilingual, transgendered, and disabled humanoid to fill the role. It is 2015! Quote Science too hard for you? Try religion!
Moonlight Graham Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Clearly Stephen Harper should be speaker. Quote "All generalizations are false, including this one." - Mark Twain Partisanship is a disease of the intellect.
