On Guard for Thee
Right now? $50-$60 oil is here to stay. What is Harper's plan to adjust to this probability?According to various forecasts, including Goldman Sachs, the 50/60 dollar level may be wishful thinking. msj
It's funny how people can say these kinds of things with a straight face. Up until the day oil started plummeting, everyone was saying that "$100 oil is here to stay". Right before the real estate bubble burst, people were saying housing prices can only go up. Etc. Anyone who thinks they know what the future will bring is fooling only themselves. This. Not understanding this, or, rather, understanding just how limited we are, is so important in life. What is Harper's plan to adjust to this probability?I can't stand how some people don't understand the facts. Go look up the amount of revenue oil brings into this country versus other industries. http://www.nrcan.gc.ca/publications/key-facts/16013 Sometimes I wish people would research before spewing out party lines. angrypenguin
You have a point? Yeah, that people who keep on saying things like..."Harper put all his eggs in the oil industry" are incorrect. Because, well, no, he didn't. ToadBrother
Yeah, that people who keep on saying things like..."Harper put all his eggs in the oil industry" are incorrect. Because, well, no, he didn't. No, but he did chain the Tories' political fortunes in no small part to oil, and Keystone XL and crashing oil prices are now a weight around the Tories.
