The purpose of schools is, to give lazy parents more time to surf the Internet and socialize on face book.

That doesn't explain student population in the 60's when there was no internet/facebook yet schools were jam-packed with kids

Exactly. In the 60's the purpose of schools was to babysit our kids for the day so mom could have a break from them and not kill herself. Now the purpose of schools is to babysit our kids for the day so mom and dad (or mom and mom, or dad and dad, or just mom or just dad...) can go out and make a living.

Just kidding...OR AM I???

one item that seems kinda unfair, is the kids that go to a large school board area, get a better education or a better chance for one because they have the money to offer more courses than small. I can in the near future schools closing and more kids being schooled at home by the internet, which is being done now in some places within Canada. I think certain occupations, should be taught by the companies or businesses like the co-op programs only broaden them out more. Who better to train or educate the workers than the businesses, one wants to work for.
