Smallc Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 Huh? The Government adds additional funds, over and above the existing Operations budget and its a failure? The government finally did what they promised. They failed to in the other 3 situations, at least two of which would have cut into day to day funding. Quote

Smallc Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 Again, you're avoiding the question......... I've answered the question. The earlier portions of the ISIL mission ate into the budget. How do I know that? Because they've devoted more money for the same mission now. Libya was a very similar mission. Quote

No you didn't, and no, you are lost on this topic........Explain how the ISIL mission eating the Operations budget was a bad thing........money allocated for operating Hornets at home being used to operate Hornets overseas is a bad thing why? The money to operate the hornets at home was not an adequate amount. If it was, they wouldn't have needed to allocate more money for this fiscal year. Quote

Are the squadrons at home holding bake sales and car washes to meet our NORAD requirements? Quote
Smallc Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 Right, and they did, so the problem is what? How did we fund the mission up until that point, if not from the baseline budget? Quote
Derek 2.0 Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 How did we fund the mission up until that point, if not from the baseline budget? From the annual operations budget...... Quote
Smallc Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 From the annual operations budget...... Meaning we took money from something else to do that. Congratulations. Quote
Derek 2.0 Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 Meaning we took money from something else to do that. Congratulations. Took money from what? Prior to the Iraq mission, do you think the RCAF intended to keep the Hornets on the ramp for the year? Not burn fuel? Not perform maintenance? Not pay the aircrew etc? I understand the the topic, clearly you don't have a clue.......... Quote

We purchased live munitions years ago and have based Canadian personal in bases built and paid for by the Arabs after the First gulf war..........I think you should give it up. Quote
Smallc Posted August 29, 2015 Report Posted August 29, 2015 And yet they procured extra money because of extra costs. According to you, those costs don't exist. Most of us know better. Quote

No, I never said additional costs outside the already budgeted Operations budget didn't occur............but of course, that is not the issue, the issue is your whinging over the RCAF not receiving additional money form some mythical fund, instead of using their already funded Operations budget.......
