Magna's CEO warned before the last election that his company, which owns 50 auto parts factories in Ontario, would not open any more here because of the high cost of electricity. The response from the Liberals was to promise to bring in a new cap and trade scheme to push the cost of power even higher. Plus our premier, well how much more fashionable could she, and by extension, Ontario, be? These are the things that really matter, not if you can make your house payments, or feed your children, those are plebeian concerns in comparison to being progressive, green, and socially fashionable. If he wasn't slashing taxes and giving tax credits to families. Harper would have a huge surplus. You aren't fooling me. Quote

This is Ontario, Any election bribe, spending scandal or rights violation that Harper has pulled can be trumped by The Ontario Liberals. The competition is so high for corporations that if you're not fully committed to subsidizing them, they wouldn't even consider coming to Canada to do business. I pointed out that this is Ontario and we are cursed with a government just as corrupt if not more so than the Federal government. I lean toward more so but that is my biased coming out.
