I just read an article stating that there seems to be a double standard, between the Mps and the senators as far as what their expenses can be and what they can't. Would any of you agree that perhaps the best way to deal with these things is to have the same rules for both and to get rid of the internal economy in the House and have one private un-bias group make those decisions? http://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/double-standard-mps-spare-themselves-same-spending-scrutiny-given-senators-1.2411391

So we have spent 21 million to find less then a million in over spending. Is this a case of the media over blowing this and have everyone thinking they were pocketing everything. For a 200 m budget, that is actually good.

Frankly speaking, we have the NDP who want to get rid of the senate because of the corruption and the cost to tax payers, maybe we should get rid of Ottawa and transfer everything to the provinces. What has the feds done that the provinces can't, perhaps the military but that could be worked out too by each province having its own military, which some provinces do have the military located in their area. The EI, CPP and OAS, would be transferred to each province and territory. I wonder what he provinces would think of this??

Read the Constitution. It will help you to understand.

The senate is still a good outfit, and just needs to be cleaned up. It can be done quite easily. imo.

Careful PIK - that is part of the JT policy. Are you sure you are supporting the Liberals?
