PrimeNumber Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 No, but I know teachers from canada who have gone to the UK to teach. I have sources across Canada. And what makes teaching harder in Canada? Quote “Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find your way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put it into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”― Bruce Lee
socialist Posted March 3, 2015 Author Report Posted March 3, 2015 And what makes teaching harder in Canada? Overall, we are more dedicated to our learners. I high % of Canadian teachers are working towards a masters degree. People think we work for our masters degree for the increase in pay, but we work towards our masters so we are better prepared to help all types of learners. That's laughable I know many teachers who couldn't give a crap in this country. Why is it then that U.K students rank higher on the U.N. education Index over Canada's students? You are failing our children and you work harder and are more dedicated? Somethings not right. Work smarter not harder that's what I always say. You should obviously stop trying so hard, you may get better results. Quote “Be like water making its way through cracks. AngusThermopyle Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) Everyone here is forgetting one very important fact about Socialist. That fact is that quite late last year he stated that he wasn't finished his education and training to be a teacher. He also said he expected to be teaching by the end of the year. Therefore he obviously has no personal experience with OT or how much he works in a year because, by his own admission, he has not been teaching for a year yet. At best, based on what he has said previously he has been teaching for several months. I'm with Ash, this guy is no teacher, just another online BS'er. Keepitsimple Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 As a Canadian educator, I know how many hours I put into this job, along with all my colleagues. You can cry anecdotal all you want, but I live it every day. There's an old saying "If you think you're humble, you're not". Similarly, if you're a professional - and have to brag/complain about how many hours you work - it's probably untrue - or you are in the wrong profession. Quote Back to Basics

AngusThermopyle Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 You see this kind of thing all of the time. Young guys with zip for experience but they're the true expert and authority on the job. Everyone they work with either just shakes their head and ignores them or just out and out laughs at them. Here's a hint Socialist, pay some dues, then come back and talk. You'll be far more credible if you've actually lived what you talk about.. Quote I yam what I yam - Popeye
The_Squid Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) You guys think he's actually a teacher? How many teachers would carry on a conversation with their other persona (the left winger vs. the right winger) on an internet forum? Wow... You guys are really gullible... PIK Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 Socialist, I have a friend who is teaching in England and you would never last. Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.
GostHacked Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 Socliast will soon find out he really knows very little in terms of education. As an example, I am well versed in networking/computer technology, but I have discovered (hahaha) recently that things have progressed way beyond my expecations and it is changing daily and exponentially. So much so, that I am having a hard time trying to play catch up while looking for new employment. Quote
socialist Posted March 4, 2015 Author Report Posted March 4, 2015 Oh squid, come now. Are you still bent out of shaping trying to prove your fake conspiracy. I guess you're jealous because you will never earn a masters degree like me, so you feel the need to try and bully me. I feel sorry for you; I really do. Quote Thankful to have become a free thinker.

The_Squid Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 A Masters degree.... wow... "I'm not a teacher, but I play one on the internet". Quote
