bush_cheney2004 Posted February 28, 2015 Report Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) In the US it is. His governorship wasn't so much won as bought and paid for -- much like Scott Walker is bought and paid for. He doesn't tie his shoes without calling up his billionaire paymasters. No different in Canada....except that the "paymasters" pay a lot less and there is a mommy queen. Edited February 28, 2015 by bush_cheney2004 Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

Enormously different in Canada since we banned large 'donations' to political campaigns. Argus Posted February 28, 2015 Report Posted February 28, 2015 Canadian political corruption = $90,000. Talk about a bargain...... What politician in Canada took $90,000 to do what? I mean, I know in your country lobbyists actually write laws which benefit their industries, then bribe senators and congressmen to implement them. I am unaware of any equivalent behaviour in Canada. Remiel Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Your name doesn't disqualify you, nor does it guarantee you of anything. Gee, such a ringing endorsement of meritocracy. Your name does not guarantee the presidency. Quote
