socialist Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 OMG. Check for Carbon Monoxide in your Mom's basement before you go to sleep. Incredible. Look; I don't concern myself with fear mongers like you. Ontario is not in trouble. 20 years from now we will look back at the nonsense you cry with regards to debt and laugh. Nothing bad will happen. There is lots of money in Ontario. Quote Thankful to have become a free thinker.
socialist Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 The debt in Ontario is almost $22,000 per man, woman and child. The provinces credit rating has been downgraded to AA- http://ottawacitizen.com/news/national/agency-downgrades-ontarios-credit-rating Since coming to power the Ontario Liberals have almost tripled the long term debt to over 300 billion and this year alone will add 12.5 billion to the debt which is higher than all the other provinces. We spend over 10 billion a year just in interest payments alone. would that money not be better spent on health care, education, infrastructure? The Ontario Liberal have been in power since 2003. Raised taxes by a huge margin and still managed to increase the debt. Increased the cost of hydro for businesses, families across the board including lower income who are really feeling it. The Ontario Liberals were by no why responsible for the economic collapse and Ontario was very hard hit. But how they handled it was the issue I have with them. Companies do not want to pay high taxes, high utilities and deal with a ridicules number of regulations the Ontario Liberals have introduced. And been blaming Mike Harris the entire time. Oh my!!! The debt boogie man!!! LOL Ontario is in great shape. Wynne knows what she is doing. We have strong unions in this province and they will make sure their members are paid fairly, which contributes to a healthy economy. Chicken Little called: He wants his sky back. LOL Quote Thankful to have become a free thinker.

( oh by the way nobody in the real world agrees with you on this including the Ontario Government) would Wynne be calling for a wage freeze? If you want top notch services you have to be prepared to pay taxes and have possible debt. Than why would Wynne risk a strike and cut teachers benefits and continue with a wage freeze? Why is there a strike vote for the public workers. I mean they are the ones being in strong unions that are the voice of the working man. Why would She run the risk of losing their votes since we have sooooooo much money? Is the 10 billion we spend in interest better spent on that or say health care and education. After those two the interest payments are the provinces biggest expense. Wynne know what she s doing so how come she does not know you can not offer somebody a job so they do not run in an election? Yeah.....They are going to have a real issue paying that off. Ontario pays almost that much every year in interest alone. Quote “Show me a young Conservative and I'll show you someone with no heart. Keepitsimple Posted February 13, 2015 Report Posted February 13, 2015 Rob Ford is a one-trick pony. He rode the "Gravy Train" phrase all the way to the mayoralty - rightly due to the people being so completely fed up with the champagne socialists that had infested City Hall. Once he got there, we saw a man who had no clue how to build a team - and build consensus - he was a bull in a China Shop with little or no idea of how to "manage". But I'll grant him one thing - he put the brakes on rampant spending and woke people up to the fact that City Hall must be held accountable. It remains to be seen if John Tory can build on accountability - and introduce some sound management so council stops debating things like our National Anthemn and actually gets things accomplished. Goodbye Rob Ford - we hardly knew you....or did we end up knowing too much? Quote Back to Basics

overthere Posted February 14, 2015 Report Posted February 14, 2015 Thats a fact. As bad as they may be, he would be worse. The objective comparison of McGuinty, Wynne and Ford is like hefting three piles of feces onto a tabletop and then sampling them for taste, smell and texture. It's hard to pick a winner without vomiting. Just great for the Ontario economy and future. Who wouldn't want to invest in that sort of quality leadership? Quote Science too hard for you?
