socialist Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 A high ranking Italian is predicting that things could turn nasty in Italy in 2014. I would say the reason for this has been conservatism in Italy. There could be massive riots as the rich get richer and the poor have a hard time finding jobs. http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/finance/ambroseevans-pritchard/100026297/italys-president-fears-violent-insurrection-in-2014-but-offers-no-remedy/ Quote Thankful to have become a free thinker.

socialist Posted December 21, 2013 Author Report Posted December 21, 2013 Italy, Greece, Germany, France, Portugal.. the whole Eurozone on shaky ground. France will be OK. Hollande is an excellent leader with excellent vision. Look at how the Conservatives are destroying the UK. Quote Thankful to have become a free thinker.
Shady Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 France will be OK. Hollande is an excellent leader with excellent vision. Look at how the Conservatives are destroying the UK. Actually, France is back in recession thanks to Hollande's ridiculous tax increases. Quote
Guest Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 And the UK economy is growing faster than expected. Damn those Conservatives! It must be Mark Carney. Quote

socialist Posted December 22, 2013 Author Report Posted December 22, 2013 Actually, France is back in recession thanks to Hollande's ridiculous tax increases. Yeah, he has to clean up the mess left him from the previous right wing government. Quote Thankful to have become a free thinker.
Guest Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 Do you understand economics. The UK is toast thanks to right wing policies. I read it on the BBC. I'll fill them in on the facts. Quote
Shady Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 Do you understand economics. The UK is toast thanks to right wing policies. No, they're digging out of the mess of the previous left wing government and it's decade long recklessness. Quote
Shady Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 Yeah, he has to clean up the mess left him from the previous right wing government. No he's making things worse and pushing further with bad leftwing policies that have caused the economic and budget problems in the first place. Quote
Rue Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 I believe Hollande of France has been a surprise. He has shown a willingness to stand up to terrorism in Africa and tell Iran to their face to stop phacking around. I like what he has done so far with his foreign policy. He has been far more of a leader against terrorism than Obama at this point. In fact I think he is carrying on where Sarkozy left off foreign policy wise but I appreciate domestically its a far different story. I think his decisive action in Central African Republic and leadership with dealing with Iran is a good thing. In an era now where Obama is creating a world leadership vacuum at least France is standing up, far more so then Cameron who has become invisible on world stage. Quote
-TSS- Posted December 25, 2013 Report Posted December 25, 2013 France will be OK. Hollande is an excellent leader with excellent vision. Look at how the Conservatives are destroying the UK. Hollande has broken all records as to how soon an elected president has become the most unpopular and most loathed politician in the country. Perhaps that is an indication that he has done something right. Usually the needed remedies are not very popular with the electorate. Quote
Rue Posted December 25, 2013 Report Posted December 25, 2013 France is like Italy or Israel Whoever is elected is thrown into an impossible situation. Some say the same about the US, but this proportional representation makes it impossible to get consensus. All three nations have the craziest drivers in the world, tied. This is a true test of how tough they are to govern. It is impossible to be an Italian, French or Israeli leader and be liked. Now mind you we all love Justin. He is so cute. I love Madam Marois and Premier Jane Hathaway of Ontario. Quote
