GostHacked Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 If it weren't for Shell and BP how much of an economy would Nigeria have? What do they have now?? Environmental catastrophe. They will never recover from this. One Exxon Valdez every year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4l6ArtUlrk Quote
jbg Posted November 11, 2013 Author Report Posted November 11, 2013 I wonder how much the klepocrats in the charities, the U.N. and the Philippine government and local authorities willpocket from disaster aid in the wake of Haiyan. Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).

Rather than silly innuendo, why don't you do some research and let us know if this is actually happening.... Quote

But when you see the window posters and collections at the supermarkets or Canadian Tire, you know that the money is largely going to overhead. That's the first corruption and it's not colored or Muslim; it's white, Anglo-Saxon Protestant theft. The New York State governor just had to crack down on the Red Cross for trying to divert Sandy relief donations to overhead. To my recollection, the catastrophe du jour is always the poster child for donations. Bangla Desh (remember Bob Dylan's and George Harrison's earnest marketing efforts to help the homeless, where no money from Madison Square Garden made it there), the Boxing Day tsunami, Katrina, the Pakistan earthquakes, and Sandy, to name but a few? Any good charity will have independent financial audits publically posted on their websites, and as a general rule of thumb, a good, efficient charity will spend about 15-20% on overhead and the rest on programming/aid. That's not "largely going to overhead". And this is equal opportunity theft. Some of the Jewish charities to whom I used to donate are among the worst offenders.
