That is classified as an act of war and Iraq would have had every right to make a counter strike against Israel. Saudi Arabia allowed Israel to use it's airspace to attack Iraq. Iraq and Israel had been in a state of war since 1948. Iraq had participated in all the major Arab-Israeli wars at its own volition. That is: as the aggressor not the defender. Iraq participated in the Khartoum Resolution which none of you anti-Israel types want to admit even happened. Either way, I fail to see how an Israeli airstrike on Saddam's A-Bomb program equals America fighting Israel's wars. Quote Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.
