g_bambino Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 It must be like watching cartoon re-runs, huh? You certainly are a living caricature; and repetitive, to boot. Quote
betsy Posted January 6, 2013 Author Report Posted January 6, 2013 (edited) You certainly are a living caricature; and repetitive, to boot. Go read the topic, "What is a New Atheist." For those who can comprehend, they'd see some new atheists in this topic. BTW speaking of that topic.....did we have, "anyone who breaks his long silence on the topic only to post a personal attack - directed at a religious person - without bothering to know what the on-going situation is all about," listed in that topic? Remind me to add that when I have more time. Thanks, Bambino for the inspiration! Edited January 6, 2013 by betsy Quote

betsy Posted January 6, 2013 Author Report Posted January 6, 2013 (edited) Women are the creators, so my God created your God. Logical fallacy - proving some elements of the bible are historically somewhat accurate doesn't prove the historicity of the bible. Showing ruins existed of a city mentioned in the bible doesn't mean all the stories the bible sets in that city actually occurred. Showing there was a flood in the middle east doesn't prove the accuracy of the Noah and the Ark story. The presence of the Sea of Galilee doesn't prove that Jesus walked across it unless it was subjected to unusually cold temperatures during that time. Women are the creators, so my God created your God. But my God created your woman! Thank God He created woman at all! He could just as easily have decided that man doesn't need any woman. The "evolved" chimps could have sufficed as companions to your man! Or is it the un-evolved chimps....since man is supposed to have been evolved already?? Anyway, the way evolutionists see it - all animals are kins! So, an ape...an orangutang...or (I hope I don't offend the animals I don't mean to be politically incorrect), or any "types" will definitely do! Maybe the sin of sodomy takes on a whole new meaning!!! Like, your man goes for a male chimp instead! And you bring up LOGICAL FALLACY? Anyway, who is your god btw? betsy Posted January 6, 2013 Author Report Posted January 6, 2013 (edited) Speaking of archeology.... When Mighty AC said that: Gravity would still exist without man, though the bible would not. My response was, yes it will still exists long after man is gone. Why? The bibles will be one of the many physical or material remains of man. What more since (as of year 2002), there are more than 6 billions copies of the Bible sold....well you can be sure that the archeological discovery of the Bible by the next inhabitants of this planet (if ever) will be so common! It'll be like finding arrowheads....except perhaps more! Edited January 6, 2013 by betsy Quote

Canuckistani Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 Which will never happens because science constantly dispute supernatural entities and phenomenon. By definition science only deals with the natural. Things that might have seemed supernatural at one time might come to have a scientific explanation, but science can not deal with what is "super' to nature. Science is about nature. This is the mistake many people make, trying to conflate the two. Science is a very limited enterprise, but that is what gives it its power. Try to dilute it and you just get an ineffective mess. Explain that to Dre, too. She talks about archeology discovering that deities' wrath caused the great flood! I've been trying to explain what archeology is all about - discovering physical/material remains left behind. Dre seems to be struggling with that - she'll probably listen to you more. And if you can take what looks like a terribly confused Sleipnir along with you on your way to Dre....that would be great. Edited January 6, 2013 by betsy Quote

jbg Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 This thread is hilarious. It's like watching kids who don't know how to count past 10 trying to debate about long division. I would like someone to explain, if there were only two of every animal on the Ark how we don't have worse inbreeding than the Hapsburg Family that were the emperors in the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
