On Guard for Thee Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 When did asking questions in a discussion forum become a violation? I'm sure it's not a violation. Other than it's a waste of time when your questions blatantly show you have not much of an idea what the basis of those questions are. Quote
Derek 2.0 Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 blame it on the suppliers!!! Lockheed F-35 Jet Reliability Still Lags, Pentagon’s Top Weapons Buyer Says Says Lockheed: "suppliers need to improve time between parts failures"... is that including the single engine? No further elaboration? Quote

So how does one visually see the engines, in-flight and from the cockpit of a 212 again? Quote
waldo Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 No further elaboration? 2.0 just like 1.0!!! There's a referenced article and a statement attributed to LockMart... with a succint waldo summation provided. If you'd like to elaborate further, the article awaits you. Quote

On Guard for Thee Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 So how does one visually see the engines, in-flight and from the cockpit of a 212 again? The same way you can look up your own a**hole. Now why don't u stop asking stupid questions? Quote
Derek 2.0 Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 The same way you can look up your own a**hole. Now why don't u stop asking stupid questions? Hey you're the one that stated it was in the realm of possibility........ Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 Hey you're the one that stated it was in the realm of possibility........ And you came to that conclusion how? Quote
Derek 2.0 Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 And you came to that conclusion how? I would put the collective to se power, and roll the offending engine to flight idle and then select manual fuel and the bring that engine back up to speed with the throttle. Done it before. Never saw any flames. What would you do? These are your words right? Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 You cannot see the engines on a 212 in flight unless you are stupid enough to step out on the skid gear and climb back. But maybe you would do that. But the cowlings would probably be ripped off and you would probably fall off to your death. And what does this have to do with the F 35? Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 These are your words right? You bet those are my words. Quote

But maybe you would do that. But the cowlings would probably be ripped off and you would probably fall off to your death. Then how could you have: Done it before. Never saw any flames. And what does this have to do with the F 35? Several pages ago you stated the only reason to shut an engine down in flight was in response to a engine malfunction and/or concern. ……I stated the other factors, including a malfunction in the fuel control system that could cause a surge of fuel into the engine, creating large flames exiting in the exhaust (akin to a top-fuel dragster)………You then stated you’ve never seen any flames…….I asked how would you see flames from the exhaust, in-flight, from the cockpit. Well I don't suppose you'd just shut an engine down because the day was getting kind of boring. I did have to shut one down due to a high side governor failure once. There was no flames, just high RPM. Maybe you should stick to your car races and leave aircraft to those of us that have experience. And stop making a fool of yourself. Or, carry on. Quote

On Guard for Thee Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 Again, what was your response with the collective? I suspect if you had any idea of what you were talking about you wouldn't bother to ask that question. You're not a pilot obviously.Get some time in you punk, then get back to me. Quote

And you avoid a very simple question (yet again), well applying your collective of personal insults and attacks when somebody asks you an actual technical question in relation to your posts………I’d ask you why that is, but in all reality, I’d fully expect continued inane responses as opposed to any validation to your numerous fanciful claims. waldo Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 that's now the last 5 pages of this thread that you've completely derailed away from the thread's focus on the F-35. Just what is your intent? Quote

Derek 2.0 Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 just how far can you reach? No reach at all, just follow the natural progression on engine flight safety. Quote

Smallc Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 How is it a scandal? That really has never been demonstrated. Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 How is it a scandal? That really has never been demonstrated. Well for starters you could watch this segment and see Harper get caught lying through his teeth. And you could research the parts of what earned Harper the first ever "contempt of parliament" glory. http://www.cbc.ca/fifth/episodes/2012-2013/runaway-fighter Quote
waldo Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 How is it a scandal? That really has never been demonstrated. so you simply dismiss the contempt of Parliament finding... no biggee? Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 Kind of reminds me of an old Donovan song, you know "first there was a contract, then there was no contract, then there was" Quote
