I accidently quoted myself in one of the threads (double posted as a result) - is there a way to delete it or will we have to ask a mod to remove it?

There is no way to remove the post yourself and it's not something that the mods do, so the best way to deal with it is to simply click on the "edit" option in the double post, erase the content, and write "deleted - double post." That's how most of us here handle it.

I would prefer if you want a double post removed, that you use the report the post feature and it will be flagged for removal. You are correct, Moderators cannot remove posting, only I have that ability - but I would rather the posting be removed completely, than have it languish in an active thread.

Have any issues, problems using the forum? Post a message in the Support and Questions section of the forums.

I never reported them because I thought it would be a nuisance. Good to know.

Ditto!!

There are ways (again, not sure how) to allow a user to delete any post that is both, the last post in the thread, and, is within a certain time limit of age (IE 5 mins)

Good to know for future reference :]
