Guest Derek L Posted August 25, 2012 Report Posted August 25, 2012 But wait, New York state and city have the toughest gun laws in the United States, in some cases (I can buy magazines online from American companies that will ship to Canada but not NY) tougher than Canada………Handgun owners in New York have to both register said gun(s) and have obtained a licence prior………………….Why didn’t New York’s tough gun laws prevent this? TheNewTeddy Posted August 25, 2012 Report Posted August 25, 2012 Meh, this is how I see things when I look at it, but in all honesty, I don't care about the topic enough to dig though stats. (which I suppose translates into "I'll shut up rather than put up") ...curious if anyone has been counting; how many mass shootings in the US have there been since I made this comment? waldo Posted August 25, 2012 Report Posted August 25, 2012 Oh my! August 24, 2012 - 19 people shot in overnight shootings across Chicago I trust someone will be along shortly to speak to, 'why strict gun laws didn't prevent this'! Quote
