Guest Peeves Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 (edited) Of course that's worth reporting! BTW Syria had an equally bad day, condemned for murdering civilians. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-18229870 I guess it evens out. (I may be embellishing the comparison slightly for effect.) So do you think Arab atrocities in the region get as much attention as do Israeli rock tossing? I don't I think there may be a slight bias in the UN and by Jew haters? I bet if an Israeli settler farted on an Arab, one poster here would get wind of it. http://mondoweiss.net/2012/01/george-orwell-meets-mel-brooks-international-activist-arrested-by-israeli-miltary-in-hebron-for-carrying-tea-later-detained-for-farting-on-a-soldier.html ‘George Orwell meets Mel Brooks’: International activist arrested by Israeli miltary in Hebron for carrying tea; later detained for ‘farting on a soldier’George Orwell meets Mel Brooks in detention of international activist ISM 20 Jan by Jack English. The ongoing repression of international activists took a turn for the ridiculous on Thursday night in Al-Khalil, also known as Hebron. At approximately 7:30pm on January 19th, an activist approached a military checkpoint en route to his apartment, where two soldiers on duty, recognizing him as an activist and international observer in Al-Khalil, demanded to search his person and bag. Upon finding two bags of bulk tea, which they insisted were drugs, and a fork-knife-spoon camping utensil, they called the police to make an arrest. However, upon arrival at the scene, the officers confirmed the legality of possessing both tea and eating utensils. Yet upon further discussion with the soldiers, the activist was informed that he would still be detained and brought to the police station in the neighboring illegal settlement of Kiryat Arba for interrogations under the charge that the activist had “insulted a public servant.” The specific alleged act was explained as, incredibly, “farting on a soldier.” link to palsolidarity.org Edited May 28, 2012 by Peeves Quote

TheNewTeddy Posted June 2, 2012 Report Posted June 2, 2012 Israel's failure to compromise on the important issues has made it the "hated" country it is. It's like a little brother that got bullied a lot in elementary school, so big bro (USA) helped out, but now that Israel is in Jr. High it is a bully, but it can still rely on it's big bro whenever needed. Look over at Ireland. The Jews were persecuted for 2,000 years, the Irish, for half that time. In fact the Irish got so angry, they started blowing things up. A little thing called "The Troubles" Then They sat down. Gerry Adams sat down with Ian Paisley and they decided they'd rather have peace. Now look at Northern Ireland. SF and the DUP, once both associated with the most extreme policies of the opposite sides in the conflict, are now working SO well together, that the other parties in the assembly attack them for it! Meanwhile Israel refuses peace. Quote Feel free to contact me outside the forums. Add "TheNewTeddy" to Twitter, Facebook, or Hotmail to reach me!

Meanwhile Israel refuses peace. What world do you live in? You again repeat and illustrate how absurd it can be to discuss the Israel-Palestinian conflict on this or any other forum. You live in a world where Hamas and Hezbollah with constitutions dedicated to using terrorism around the world against all Jews and anyone perceived to be pro Israel until Israel is disbanded don't exist. Right Israel refuses peace. When Israel sat at a table and agreed to peace and then Arafat ripped up the peace deal he signed ridiculing the US and Israel saying they should have realized he was bagaining in bad faith all along-you of course selectively ignore that just as you do the fact that Hamas and Hezbollah are dedicated to the violent destruction of Israel. Oh but wait in your brilliant analysis the IRA can disarm, but Hamas, Hezbollah, oh heck no. Also using your scenario and comparison the British were wrong when they insisted the IRA disband before they come to the peace table. Britain should have said, come to the table, point your weapons at us and kill us. In your brilliant comparison Israel has no right to ask Hamas and Hezbollag to disband. They should sit at a table and discuss with these terrorists what exactly-oh right peace. They should sit with people whose sole poisition is to wipe them out and discuss peace. Right that makes sense. So logical. Can you get a reality check. To date there has never been a Palestinian leader willing to renounce violence against Israel and state they should recognize Israel as a Jewish state. At best we have Abbas who says Israeli Jews should take in millions of self proclaimed Palestinians, make them citizens, turn the majority of Israel into a Muslim state. That's the one offer they have other than go die. But hey in your world Israel should not be a Jewish state. That is unreasonable. The Arab world can have as many Muslim states as it wants, but heaveb forbid a Jew wants their own state. Those Jews. How uppity can you get. I mean really who told these Jews they are entitled to a state. How dare they. Muslims can have states. Christians can have states. Jews, never. Go on then. Name one Palestinian leader of any movement who has offered to renounce terror and reoognize a Jewish state in Israel. Name 1. Oh wait I should be sensitive. I am too unreasonable. I am abrupt with people on this forum. They find me too forward. I am not sure what is more laughable, people like you who write such ridiculously simplistic one sided analysis or the so called supporters of Israel on this forum who in their very language patronize Israelis as in need of approval of the rest of the world. Guess what.In the real world you want to wipe out Jews, they will now fight back. You want to try kill a Jew, they will fight back. That is the essence of the existence of Israel which you can't fathom-that it is an existential response to people like you and its existence states-never again will we be second class and no you do not lecture us where we can live and what rules we must follow. You want peace it comes from recognizing us-not trying to wipe us out. Try wipe us out with terrorism, we grow stronger. Sit and speak rationally and we will sit and offer mutual respect. And no fool, Israelis will not sit down with armed terrorists dedicated to their destruction-no differently than the British when they sat down with the IRA. Edited June 2, 2012 by Rue Quote

Israel have returned the bodies of 92 Palestinian militants, including several who had carried out bloody terror attacks within the Jewish state as far back as 1975 AP Now of course the Arabs will celebrate the return of these heroes and martyrs that blew up children and civilians. Sad that these murderers are honored for horrible deeds. No other civilized people would I suspect. Palestinians bury remains of 91 militants held in Israel for yearsUpdated: 2012-06-01 00:17:00 (Xinhua) Print Mail Large Medium Small 0 GAZA/RAMALLAH, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Palestinians on Thursday buried the remains of 91 militants that had been held for many years in anonymous Israeli graveyards. The remains of 79 militants, wrapped with Palestinian flags, were buried in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Thursday with 12 others buried in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip, after Israel handed earlier in the day the remains of those Palestinian militants to the Palestinian National Authority (PNA). In Ramallah, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas placed wreathes on the coffins at the presidential headquarters, as the presidential guards fired 21-gun salute. Sheikh Mohamed Hussein, Mufti in the Palestinian territories, greeted the remains, and Tayeb Abdel Rahim, secretary-general of the Palestinian presidency, said that the Palestinian leadership would never forget about the martyears. I've never thought of you that way at all. You seem like a nice person who would make good conversation. You just don't suffer fools gladly! I admire that! So what is your country's excuse...you know...for bombing Iraqis, Serbs, and Libyans...and killing the locals in Afghanistan? Why did Canada turn into a "bully" ? Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
