Guest Derek L Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 such an odd... and lame, response. I mean, really! Are you that vested in anything/everything LockMart related that you can't stand any form of critical comment/assessment... even an "unknown" aspect, simply because it presumes to tag LockMart with being unable to, so far, solve the problem. Man, I thought you had thicker skin - go figure! Lame? You've got the the NY Times (With list of corrections to errors in the story and past of telling fibbs) and I'll raise you the Head of Air Combat Command from today: Commander Qualifies in the F-22, Confident in Raptor "We've had a 99.9 percent effective flying rate relative to these unknown physiological incidents, but that is not good enough," Hostage said. "The task force has made great progress, and the collaboration between our Air Force experts and others from NASA, the Navy and industry is exceptional. I'm confident we're on the right track, ensuring the safety of our crews and maintaining the F-22's combat readiness." 99.9% effective flying rate? Most recently, ACC directed pilots to remove the upper pressure garment of their aircrew flight equipment during routine flight operations. Recent centrifuge testing revealed some vulnerabilities with the garment, which places added pressure on a pilot's chest and restricts breathing in some instances. "I'm cautiously optimistic that we've identified the major factors that have caused symptoms of oxygen deprivation in some of our F-22 pilots," said Lyon. "We've learned some significant things over the past several months that help protect our crews and maintain our combat readiness for the nation." Lyon also said he is satisfied that, after extensive testing, no harmful contaminants are moving through the oxygen system. He went on to say a major focus of the task force now is looking at the physiological-support equipment and exploring commonalities in the flight profiles -- the combination of various altitudes and maneuvers -- that could be common in the incidents. Guest Derek L Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 there is a handy post I could resurrect if you persist. You know... the one where I detail the reduced/delayed procurement numbers for the respective U.S. military branches, along with all the JSFail partner nations. Would you like those numbers - how would you like those procurement apple numbers, hey? by the by... no comment on the Dutch pulling out - tick tock, tick tock! Are you refuting this most recent order? The Dutch are “pulling out? Care to qualify that statement? Quote

waldo Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Lame? You've got the the NY Times (With list of corrections to errors in the story and past of telling fibbs) and I'll raise you the Head of Air Combat Command from today: and the latest incident occurred with a F-22 pilot who was not wearing the vest. But really, how petty are you? Those 'corrections' mentioned in the article have no bearing. Quote

waldo Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Are you refuting this most recent order? engrish? The Dutch are “pulling out? Care to qualify that statement? already done - motion was tabled before the Dutch government - to get outa F-35 town!... one supported by a majority of government members. It's only a matter of time before the vote occurs; like I said - tick tock, tick tock. Quote
Guest Derek L Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Mijn god!!! First Dutch F-35 leaves assembly line Despite the Dutch having been on the verge of cancelling their F-35 orders for the last several years……….Handy that the Dutch will receive their first F-35 prior to the mid September election….. Quote
waldo Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 It plays to the creditability of the NY Times researchers and fact checkers…….need I say more? you've said it all - and, like I said, you're so vested in LockMart you can't even stand up to the possibility that the problem isn't solved. Petty you are - pity! Quote

Guest Derek L Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 (edited) you've said it all - and, like I said, you're so vested in LockMart you can't even stand up to the possibility that the problem isn't solved. Petty you are - pity! As I've said several weeks ago to punked, the problem is The quality of the fabric used in the production of the vests/suits since the early 2000s………..Not LockMart’s problem, nor the aircraft’s “oxygen system”, since the same system, made by the same company, is also used in the F-15F-14, Super Hornet and F-16 Harrier.…..And the F-35. edit to correct aircraft types Edited July 7, 2012 by Derek L Quote
Guest Derek L Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 ya! They're on the hook for 2! Wow... you'll grab at anything, hey? Grab? They’re still having an election prior no? Do you predict Lotto 6/49 also? Quote
waldo Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 ***bump*** (note: I initially failed to highlight the JSFail partner level attachments... the soon to bail Netherlands being a level 2 partner, only behind the UK in terms of initial/previous commitment - oh my!) US military branches: "Since 2002, the total procurement quantity through 2017 has been reduced by three-fourths, from 1,591 to 365". The U.S. Navy has, for all intents and purposes, abandoned JSFail... issuing a separate RFI for a new replacement jet fighter. UK: the single largest contributing JSFail 'partner'... the only Level 1 'partner', has now flip-flopped for a second time... ongoing failure/delay/restrictions of the 'C' variant brought forward a (second) flip-flop bringing the UK back to the original 'B' variant procurement intent. To-date, the UK has purchased only... only... 3 F-35B jets. Italy: the second largest financial contributor to the JSFail program - has officially announced a 30% procurement reduction intent. To date, Italy has purchased no F-35 jets. Quite clearly - a glowing 'Derek L' testament to the JSFail program and his "Actions speak louder then words or opinions hey", bleat! Netherlands: officially announced an intention to reduce its procurement intention by 25%. To date, Netherlands has purchased only... only... 2 F-35 jets for test and evaluation purposes. Quite clearly - a glowing 'Derek L' testament to the JSFail program and his "Actions speak louder then words or opinions hey", bleat! Australia: one month ago, May 2012, Australia deferred procurement intentions on its first order of 14 F-35s... 2 of the original 14 were in production and will be purchased for 'testing & evaluation' purposes. Quite clearly - a glowing 'Derek L' testament to the JSFail program and his "Actions speak louder then words or opinions hey", bleat! Canada: Quite clearly - a glowing 'Derek L' testament to the JSFail program and his "Actions speak louder then words or opinions hey", bleat! Norway: per Wikileaks, per previous at length MLW discussion, Norway was unduly pressured by the U.S. toward F-35 procurement. Per recent Lockheed Martin desperation, Norway agreed to purchase... two... two F-35 jets - under the strict proviso that Lockheed Martin would agree to integrate the Norwegian developed JSM missile into the JSFail program. Quite clearly - a glowing 'Derek L' testament to the JSFail program and his "Actions speak louder then words or opinions hey", bleat! Denmark: Denmark has expressed no official F-35 procurement intention. Official statements speak to a 2014 decision on any F-35 procurement intention in relation to Denmark's expressed direction to evaluate the F-35 against other alternatives. Quite clearly - a glowing 'Derek L' testament to the JSFail program and his "Actions speak louder then words or opinions hey", bleat! Turkey: Turkey has officially placed it's procurement intentions on hold. To date, Turkey has, in principle, agreed to purchase 2 F-35 jets for testing and evaluation purposes. Quite clearly - a glowing 'Derek L' testament to the JSFail program and his "Actions speak louder then words or opinions hey", bleat! per the latest Pentagon/DOD SAR F-35 report: additional costs to the JSFail program in relation to reduced/lost procurement numbers: - U.S. F-35 => "cost impacts of a slower near-term production ramp rate - $5.2 Billion dollars" - International F-35 => "increases due to a revised, slower international procurement buy profile - $.83 Billion dollars" - F-35 engine => "cost impacts of a slower near-term production ramp rate - $.98 Billion dollars" yes! Quite clearly - a glowing 'Derek L' testament to the JSFail program and his "Actions speak louder then words or opinions hey", bleat! Quote

waldo Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Grab? They’re still having an election prior no? Do you predict Lotto 6/49 also? tick tock, tick tock. the prevailing info I read states the current ruling government will be thrown out; replaced by a coalition. Could that change? Maybe. The U.S. Government/LockMart could also bring additional pressure to bear - you know, like the desperation moves made for Japan & Norway... ya, like that. even if the existing Dutch government were to prevail, the long-standing Defense Minister is on record, in recent days, as stating the intended F-35 procurement number will be much less than the original number; a number which was to simply be a straight replacement, one for one, of their current F-16s. That initial number of ~85 was whittled down to ~40... and with the Defense Minister's comments, what further reduction would result? Again, that presumes on the existing government retaining power... which is stated as most unlikely. Tick tock, tick tock. Quote
waldo Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Let me no when they cancel it, and I'll keep reporting the orders like I said, you'll grab at anything! Those 2 ordered by the Dutch is nothing new... a long-standing order... in the pipeline! Quote

Guest Derek L Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 like I said, you'll grab at anything! Those 2 ordered by the Dutch is nothing new... a long-standing order... in the pipeline! As I’ve said, the Dutch have been “cancelling the F-35” for years, yet their first aircraft will be flying later next month……….We’ll indeed see how the left leaning Dutch parties react, if they win, to the loss of investment and jobs from the Dutch aerospace industries……… Quote
Guest Derek L Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 notWearingAVest Is that a yes or no? Till then: OBOGS Quote
waldo Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 So, till then, we’ll wait till the first Dutch F-35 is flying, followed by said election: tick-tock by the by... since you're so tapped in. All these LRIP planes - are the required retrofits paid for as a part of JSFail? Or is that an extra LockMart gouge? Quote

Apparently, it ain't flying... so far. Something about few people having any confidence in LockMart delivering - go figure... a decade+ of failed performance/delivery kind of takes the shine off the 'job card', hey? Quote
Guest Derek L Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Hmmm the same life support system used in the F-22 & F-35, is also used in the Hornets, Eurofighter and Gripen.......... Quote
