Tin foil hat time

Why it wouldn't surprise me if the Conservatives were behind this?

Campaign Research partner Nick Kouvalis publicly stated: “We're in the business of getting Conservatives elected and ending Liberal careers. We're good at it.”

The company many of the Conservatives used have openly stated their goal was ending liberal careers.. and "we're good at it" meaning they have no problems with doing unethical and potentially illegal things to win elections

It doesn't mean that at all, and you know it.

I think we're old enough now to understand their is a difference between socialism and communism

Of course! It's like the different between red and pink! :P

I grew up in Grimsby...I now live 5 km's down the road in Beamsville...

What does this have to do with voter supression,or,is this another "Pay no attention to man behind the curtains!" attempt at clouding the issue from the Del Mastro disciples?

I prefer “these are not the RoboCalls you’re looking for:P

I live a kilometre from the track this train was traveling on

Yes Jack, just like you live 1 km from the train track of the derailing a few weeks ago. We know, everything's about you.

yes, I do recall that thread & JW's comment... the one you feel is significant enough as to pull an extract from it and quote it again here in this thread. While JW and others were offering their concern over the derailing, with JW also adding a humanizing element, your singular focus was to detract from the thread, from the derailing and from the raised concerns for the deaths; your focus was to simply deride JW for offering a personalized touch with his comment. Even though you've been spanked so many times by JW, that was not the time/place to selfishly trivialize the derailing/deaths. Shame!

I was thinking the same thing as I read Shadys comment. Why one would want to keep going back for more, I'm not sure.

Having said that, I do hope to read another good Shady spanking soon!

Sorry guys...

My days of using The Profes...er...Shady as my intellectual punching bag are pretty much over. The last time I bludgeoned (sp) him into a corner (as is usual once he gets off the idealogical talking points),he took offence to me calling him "The Professor", whimpered to the mods, and, got me a 30 day vacation...

So,instead of being banned,I put him on ignore...I don't deal well with crybabies who put themselves out there as some sort of knowledgable person on a whole host of topics, only to be exposed as a peripheral headline reading know nothing..

Just wait for his response....I'll just bet it'll be dripping with "professorial" sanctimony, self adulation, and, probably something about his putting no one on ingnore and the "intellectual cowardice" of that act....

Of course, the both of you (Shakeyhands and Waldo) are quite capable of eviscerating our little friend all by yourselves...Or in a tag team effort!! :D

Believe me,I'll be watching and giggling with glee as the self professed "Poster of the Year" gets ripped again...and again...and again...

I believe the communist country most popular today is China.

I would'nt call todays China "Communist" at all...

I wouldn't either. China (and Cuba to a lesser extent) are not Communist systems. They are State Capitalist. Some of the largest, most profitable companies in the world are owned and operated by the Chinese government.

Speaking of a plan to remove the Conservatives from government, seems NDP wannabe leader Nathan Cullen is getting a lot of help from his friends at leadnow and Avaaz.

This is old news. Leadnow has been working on this for quite some time. I had it out with him because I am absolutely opposed to strategic voting. If they want to form a coalition after the election, fine. However, they're playing with fire here. The head of Leadnow believes people will just vote strategically for whichever candidate is left in the riding. I can, however, tell you unequivocally that I will not vote for a party that does not represent me no matter what. I don't believe in holding my nose and voting. I would much sooner spoil my ballot. In fact, if the candidate from my party was the only one there because he/she made an agreement with a candidate from another party to run un-opposed, I would still spoil my ballot against that candidate. Interesting find Capricorn………The NDP being the victims of Communist subversion tactics

First, the leadnow campaign is old news. They've been talking about this in public on Facebook for months.

And, you're not too familiar with the history of the NDP, are you?

You need to read up on The Waffle.

Select snippets from Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Waffle

The next year Ontario NDP leader Stephen Lewis, David's son, accused the Waffle of being "an encumbrance around my neck".[10] On June 24, 1972, at the party's Provincial Council held in Orillia, Lewis was able to successfully shepherd a resolution ordering the Waffle to either disband or leave the NDP.[10] Debate on the motion lasted for three hours, with labour leaders leading the charge to expel the Waffle.[10] Finally, the council approved the motion to disband the Waffle with a 217 to 86 vote, thereby ending months of public feuding.[10]

The federal NDP also disbanded the New Brunswick NDP for a period in late 1971 after a local Waffle group gained control of it.

The Waffle was also the progenitor of the NDP Socialist Caucus and the New Politics Initiative (NPI). The NPI were seen as a major force in the federal NDP during the period after the 2000 federal election. Like the Waffle, they too wanted the party to move left, and were aiming to do this by closing down the NDP and forming a new party. The NPI's attempts at reforming the party were crushed, similar to the Waffle, at the 2001 Winnipeg convention

So when people say the NDP is Communist or even Socialist, they show just how ignorant they are about the NDP.

Hmmm...

Authoritarian Capitalism...

Where have we seen that before???

Was'nt it General Augusto Pinochet who said that,"Democracy was the breeding ground of Communism!"?

Was'nt it Il Duce,Benito Mussolini, who said something along the lines of,"Fascism is the perfect mixture of corporate and public power (or something like that)."

Hmmm....

Authoritarian Capitalism...It has alot of names...

Those that follow it should be mindful of not getting splinters in their fingers whilst wrapping axes in bundles of sticks....

Nope. I'm just focusing on how he likes to make every issue about him. I find it rather humourous.

Even though you've been spanked so many times by JW

You're delusional.

I was thinking the same thing as I read Shadys comment. Why one would want to keep going back for more, I'm not sure.

You're equally delusional. The only thing Jack spanks is his monkey.

Nope, that's not true. It wasn't me that complained. But I find it funny that you consider calling somebody names as intellecutaly punching. It's actually the exact opposite.

So,instead of being banned,I put him on ignore

Or you could just post without name calling. That would be the other option. But you're incapable of doing that, because that would require a certain amount of intelligence.

Of course, the both of you (Shakeyhands and Waldo) are quite capable of eviscerating our little friend all by yourselves...Or in a tag team effort!!

Too funny! Jack needs other people to fight his battles for him, in an internet forum!

Well, you've certainly provided a lot of evidence for that position. The editors at the Economist sure could have saved themselves a lot of work if they'd only consulted you first.
