GostHacked Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 (edited) you prefaced your statement on a reference you provided... your described co-workers acceptance of the theory of AGW... which obviously doesn't presuppose on your pet short-term, local/regional weather mod/man conflations with extended timeline global climate. Actually he came at me today asking for more links about weather modification. And I am not saying there is a definate link, I am saying that you and the AGW crowd are missing the data from these weather modification programs to accuratley talk about climate change. If you believe weather can be manipulated, then you understand that the climate data is already skewed because it is missing this information. I could be completley wrong on this, and I am at least willing to acknowledge that. Some are not even prepared or willing to accept the possibility that they could be wrong on a certain topic. I have no interest in you continuing to derail this thread with another of your distractions. Why don't you actually start up a thread and attempt to substantiate your claims of weather mod/man as the alternate causal link to GW/CC...the causal link other than anthropogenic sourced CO2. Why don't you actually step-up and showcase the "real skepticism" you recently so adamantly stated you have. Easy to say - much, much more difficult for you to carry through on, hey? I already started a thread called 'geo-engineering'. http://www.mapleleafweb.com/forums//index.php?showtopic=17581, which you posted already. And came out of the gates making insults and being a dick about it. I don't resort to insults and name calling when I am trying to get a point across. Edited February 23, 2012 by GostHacked Quote

lukin Posted February 26, 2012 Report Posted February 26, 2012 I can't believe how desperate the alarmist camp is. Why are they hell-bent on trying to fool the world? The sad thing is that they have fooled way too many people, including a number of people on this 2-bit forum. What is their real agenda? what is behind this fake panic? http://joannenova.com.au/2012/02/fakegate-the-sound-of-a-meme-collapsing/ Quote

Why was that question so difficult for you to answer. oh wait, I did answer you - apparently, you had difficulty responding Answer why it's so important for you to have that answer. Why do you care... what measure would you apply against an answer, any answer. Why is it so important for you to have that answer, lukin? in any case, do you actually have something to discuss... on topic... or are you simply content to continue to stir the pot and further devolve this thread? Do you actually have something... anything... to discuss? as I said, in terms of you having something to discuss, perhaps you could start with the request you seem to have difficulty with: MLW member lukin note: don't hesitate to comment on this post, hey? sharkman Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 I'm used to your dodging real questions, waldo. That's why you are not to be taken seriously. you excel at excessive yapping. That about nails it. Most of the time when arguing with conservatives all Waldo does is dispute their comments with rambling word filled posts of empty factoid leftwing nonsense. He never responds to simple questions of what he is doing or believes on an issue, or to present HIS theory in a discussion. This is because he doesn't want to defend himself, but rather to attack others instead. It's a basic ploy to be on the offensive and it reveals that this is only a game, or entertainment to him. I stopped answering his posts after I realized this. I want to talk to an adult not play games with a kid. Quote

sharkman Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 (edited) Translation: He knows more than me and makes me look foolish, so I am frightened to engage. Now that is a good effort, but apparently you have never been in a debate with Waldo and asked him a simple question, which he never answers as he then starts acting like a puppy who's got the ball the kids were playing with. Like the time in the "Grade Obama" thread where after he attacked several of us who went ahead and graded Obama, would not offer his own opinion on a grade when asked. After several more attempts and the childish responses(like yours) it became clear he likes being chased around. Edited March 2, 2012 by sharkman Quote

I have, however, seen him win debates against you, and then I've seen you try to derail the debate by pursuing irrelevant details about his personal opinions and preferences. sharkman Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 (edited) Debates about what? I've been mostly away from this forum in the last year, and hardly remember Waldo before that. I've refused his 'attempts' at debating for the most part in my last 500 posts or so, which is my current binge on this forum. Either you are going by memory influenced by bias or you have an incredible brain as you recall something from 2+ years ago. But so what? My point stands. Waldo, when debating conservatives, prefers attacking another's position rather than defending his own. I've seen him on this forum in the middle of the night totally juiced about nothing, trying to goad another into meaningless arguments. Edited March 2, 2012 by sharkman Quote

You, however, rely on the tried-and-true method of attacking people's arguments based on your perceived "religiosity" of their beliefs, and coming into debates just to say you aren't interested in debating because you don't feel you can change their mind. sharkman Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 Yes, that I do when it comes to environmentalism. With some it is a cult. When people are willing to break the law and endanger others, something's wrong. But mostly I leave those threads alone. Quote
